Description
A few months after her vacation with her son, Amanda was sent by her boss to attend a conference meeting in her stead back in Craysbrooke. After some negotiations, Amanda left Abel in the care of her boss who promised to take care of him while she was away. During the final day of the three day conference, Amanda found herself in Sunrise Dojo, late in the afternoon as the conference finished. She had enough time to drive over to the seaside dojo and grab a spare dobok she had lying around and a black belt, before coming here.

As she watched the black belt class be dismissed, she took of her shoes and waltzed over to Aikihara who was standing there with her arms crossed

"So. Just you?" She asked as she looked at her
"Yeah. Couldn't really drag Abel out to a three day business conference now could I? He has school! School that I am working to pay for!" Amanda answered as she looked at her friend
"Uhuh. Sounds like someone is tired"
"I...I am....I love Abel, he is everything to me. But.....it's tiring doing what I do to bring the life we love and...I rarely get some to myself" Amanda expressed with a wry smile, a hint of sadness in her eyes
"Hmm...is that why you are here? To vent out all of those pent up emotions?"
"Well...I can't really do that to my own son now can I?"
"Hmm...so be it. I can tell by the duffle bag you brought an outfit and a black belt, wear them. Let's get you sparring"
"Thank you"

A few moments later, Amanda came back to the mat with her dobok and black belt, while Aikihara was still in her sensei outfit.

"Hmm..taekwondo? What happened to your dōgis?" She asked as she looked Amanda up and down
"Well...they are currently in the wash so I grabbed what else was left. Plus using some taekwondo has been refreshing for a girl used to karate"
"Hmm..I see, well, I was trained in both plus others so let's see you work your stuff then" Aikihara replied with a grin
"I forget, I'm speaking to a woman who downed opponents many times her size in single shots"
"Guilty hehe"
"Let's just start"
"Your move"

After the exchange of words, both women bowed to one another and then began to circle each other on the tatami. Amanda took a deep breath as she stared down her opponent, the sparring sessions with Abel had been fun for both of them but it also helped Amanda think of new ways to try and best her former rival, afterall, the weeks of training was not just to help Abel but herself as well.

"KIYAAAAH!"

With a burst of courage, Amanda lunged forward, firing off several snap kicks with her right leg in quick succession, aiming her kicks towards Aikihara's bosom, neck, face, left side. Before quickly executung a roundhouse kick with her right leg that followed up into a turning long with her left. Aikihara meanwhile effortlessly defended from the attacks, using multiple knifehand blocks to thwart the snap kicks before ducking forward to dodge the roundhouse and then leaning back out of reach of the turning long kick.

And just as Amanda finished her attack, Aikihara launched hers. Initiating it with a front kick that Amanda dodged by shifting to the side, the blonde martial artists fired off a backhanded fist and her eyes widened as Aikihara leaned back and allowed the fist to sail harmlessly above her. Amanda then winced and groaned as she felt a karate chop strike her neck, seizing the chance, Aikihara then grabbed her collar and effortlessly threw Amanda over her with one arm and sent her crashing to the dojo floor.

"You gotta do better than that Amanda" Aikihara said as she looked at her

Groaning from the pain but still finding the strength to get up, Amanda looked at her rival with a small grin, like a fire had just been lit.

"Trust me. I am only getting started"
