I have been waiting to get a shot like this. The last time I saw these two there was a fence between us.
These two are working in what's called "Push-Pull". One loco leads the train in one direction while the trailing loco just rides along. When the reach the end of the line the crew transfers from lead loco to the trailing one, and they head back in the other direction. The trailing loco is now the lead loco and the other one is trailing. That way they don't have to turn the locos or run them around the train.
