Haeruko are celestial creatures. They don't technically have a physical form and that's simply how they appear. That's why they cant be touched or can't touch anything (except each other). They do descend to Earth but when they do, they either invisible to human or take a human form (both their wings and halo disappear, and that form is pretty much physical).

Haeruko are warriors. The gem on their chest is a container for their soul and is also where their weapon materialized from. They simply pull it out of the gem. Usually weapon reflects some of Haeruko's traits and it can only be one weapon for life. Which is a very long time. Haeruko can live thousands of years and they don't age after certain point (since their form is basically an image created by their magic and they just live it in the most beautiful state).

Berserk form is used for fighting or healing. They can only be hurt by other Haeruko's weapon and can die from wounds. Their blood is either the color of their gem or white and almost transparent. When in Berserk form their whole body turns grayish or blueish black and their tattoo, marks and eyes start to glow. Also a cross on their forehead appears. Also their feet turn to animal paws and their nails grow much longer. That cross might bleed when Haeruko stayed in berserk form for too long. Usually that means they won't be able to return to their original form. The same actually happens with human form. If they stayed in it for too long they're loose their magic.

Haeruko are complicated creatures. Since their body isn't physical their aren't born with it and it they don't have a fixed biological sex. It's usually up to Haeruko's beauty standards - they could me males, females, none or something in between. Their language does not have genders. But when they use any of languages they do, Haeruko simply pick one they like.

So far, Haeruko are semi-open species!
