I had to do a variant of Wonder Woman using her classic colors too. Although I can't justify doing these kinds of colors myself (hair is not blue, gold is not yellow, etc), the simple colors really do speak to me.
Side note: the 1982 DC Comics Style Guide by Jose Luis Garcia-LopezΒ is a phenomenal resource. As much as I love tweaking designs to put my own spin on things, I would almost be okay if we just collectively agreed this is gospel for DC character designs.
