This can either be considered a fictional web page or a fictional catalog page.The assignment was actually to make a word out of some kind of object, so being into beads, I chose...beads! Yes, it was painstaking.
I laid them all out, photographed them, and made a complicated selection to drag them into this document.From there, I just added pictures of my beads and some of my bracelets. By reading the rest, you can sort of imagine what idea I'm going for.
Initially, I didn't like this project, but in the end I was pretty happy with it. I do regret not using a grid; I just lined things up the best I could.

Ooh, that's gorgeous!! I LOVE how crisp the edges of the bead photos are. Did you line the beads up for the lettering and border by hand...? You crazy woman...?

This is just insanely fun to look at in a whole bunch of different ways. I love the colors, and the textures...and man, how can you not love beads? The layout is fabulous, and it's sooo crisp! Can I ask how many DPI you were working at?

Thank you! I'm glad you like the framing on the photos because that's one thing I just can't figure out how to be creative with. Yep, I did line all those beads up! It wasn't exactly my idea of fun...
Oh wow, how could I forget to mention that many of these are the beads you gave me?
I'm pretty sure I set the document at 300 dpi. This is obviously a jpeg. But I totally screwed it up by accidentally saving the Photoshop file over as a significantly smaller file. Ugh.

For a second, when I saw the thumbnail, I thought that this was an advertisement for you selling your bead stuff and I went "ooooh!"
I think it's cool that you picked this subject because you know about it, and can therefore make it look very convincing.
I have no words for how much I love that the "bullet points" in the list of services are made out of beads. How clever is that, seriously. I'm also pretty impressed with the fact that you laid out all the beads by hand for that!
And dangit, looking at that made me want to buy the shinies!

Hehe, I guess this design came from a subconscious desire to start a business? I'd never have it in me to do it, but it's a neat idea.
Haha, I'm glad you like bullets! I just used the same bead and changed its colors. I was afraid I was overdoing the theme at that point.
