Description Did an Animated fold for now. It actually took me the whole day I was surprised by how much time passed by.
So I was also able to teach myself about rigging in 2D and tweening. Wonky, but it'll do for now. As I have mentioned, twas a pain in the butt. To suffer I did, but fun I had.    Look Mah! I'm a Mechanic! (RIP)

Something this simple can be so complicated. Originally it has words to pitch why and what’s there, but the file became too big to Export. Heavily referencing from Bloodborne’s Burial Scythe and Qrow Branwen’s Weapon.
Will prolly do a complete transformation of back and forth but right now I'm not ready to cross the bridge of animation hell just yet. Still thinking of another design. I should have Animated the handle out first before the Blade folded. argarhargahrgah

As mentioned in the story, it has extendable shafts and a built in mechanism. Ruby you genius you

Very nice! Love the animation, but why does the middle black part pop out to the side (on the handle/staff of the scythe)?

Thanks! And Hmm. Middle black part.. Oh that thing that goes out and shows red? Its a handle for Ruby to hold so that it wont clip her fingers as the blade folds. It's for handling purpose really. It was adlibbed or rather thought of during the process when a crucial question hits me, "Where is she going to hold when it folds? How is she going to carry it easily? Important yet, how can she fold and unfold it into and out of action?" I didn't get to add the parts (and a hole) where it would spring. My bad. Was very focused in the interface of the Animation studio my mind slipped throughout the course.

Ah, makes sense. That in mind it's much more rational to have it pop out xD Though... from a mechanical standpoint, maybe have it hinge out as the two main parts of the handle compress towards each other? And then to expand it she just pushes it back into place and that moves pistons or somesuch inside the staff part... Like so:

I'll delete this if you want me to btw. I just can't describe things to save my freaking life lol

Hmm. Looks basically well represented. I've been thinking about this half the day while I was away. It has it's good perks about wielding, though it should be on the side of the staff for better handling, swirling and swinging (As referenced from the Trailers). But even that has it's complications. So far your explanation sounds nice, just need to adjust the height of the handle. But I should really think it through though. Maybe give it a little exercise. The thing is, If I let it spring originally in my design, the transformation can be smooth without further releasing a free hand to detach or reattach a handle. In this case what you showed. But ahh as I think harder as I type this really gives me a burning blueprint in my head to find what's right. I hope I was able to explain it fine xD

And oh I don't mind! It's your choice really, I appreciate your idea. Which by the way. Thank you very much!
