Description
This is hardly a huge departure for me (pleasant child? Pet? Check and check!) but I did try to change the scale a bit (I would have enjoyed painting it more if it was mostly pleasant child and pet, for example) and to use a more specific lighting situation. Also, purple and yellow. I'm not crazy about yellow/purple OR blue/orange. Red/green is the OTP! Originally those statues were going to elegant and imposing, and then I decided, no, goofy and friendly was better. I take my fun where I can get it.

To sum up: stones, stones, stones.
