Description
finally brushed up the picture i started some 2 months ago.driftwood, drowned people, murky water, maybe some slavic mythology influences, who knows..
there are still some elements i'm not completely happy with, maybe i'll come back to this picture when i'm less busy. at least this was a good practice at drawing hands.

Those hands emerging from the water would look so cool if they were more aquatic looking with webbing between the fingers!

I love it, especially that hand with the finger up in front of his mouth. It looks like they already killed him long before they actually pulled him into the water though.

Wow... this is excellent! Normally going with light background colors for pieces like this would be a bad thing, but it really adds to the piece here and gives it some very nice contrast! Well done

You know when you're just lazily browzing through the deviations in your inbox and suddenly something that's so good that it makes you shudder pops up? Well, it happened to me when I saw this. I absolutely love it!

I can only imagine a story line about this. It's probably something like a drown corpse being sent back onto land to lure others or something. Just love it.

Very cool piece!
The flow of the hands and the complete rigidity of the 'victim' is a very eerie contrast, and the 'sickly' colour palette lends the entire thing a disconcerting and otherworldly effect. Looks like a panel from a very dark fairy tale. Great work!
