Description

For quite a long time Anna and Mordechai walked through the dark tunnels of the caves... cave passages led lower and lower until they came out into a more spacious cave... on the sides of the cave was a colonnade of high columns.

A quiet sound like a multi-voice whisper was carried through the cave.

Exhausted from the long journey, Anna and Mordechai sat down at one of the columns. The monotonous noise of the cave clouded their minds and soon they succumbed to an inexplicable weight and plunged into a hypnotic sleep.

(In Arralu, the underground kingdom of the goddess Ereshkigal is dominated by eternal sleep. as the ancient Sumerians believed, after death, the souls of the dead plunge into the darkness of eternal sleep.)

Anna went down to Arralu

through deep gloomy tunnels

It's been going on for a long time.

Led a faithful companion

that was intended for the goddess as a gift

Anna went down to Arralu

To the Realm of Eternal Sleep

To demand a ransom

For his soul.

ps: This short poem came unexpectedly... but I'll leave it for now... maybe it's just a random thought and doesn't apply to the plot.... Time will tell.
