I don't know how you call them in English, but literarily translated from German, it would sound like 'Great Horseshoe-nosed' bat^^ I like them especially because they have so ugly but cute faces

He's adorable; and yep, definetely a Horseshoe I once read about a man who adopted a pair of orphaned Greater Horseshoes which learned to suspend themselves from his fingers and eat mealworms out of the palm of his hand; and when he called them they would fly to him from down out of his attic. He eventually released them back into the wild and about a year later he went for a walk past the cave where he'd let them go; "his" bats recognised his voice, flew out to him and settled themselves on their old perch. What a lucky guy...

Ok, and yeah it was a surreal cave, hundreds of bats everywhere.... Other people got better photos but I was quite pleased with that one ^_^

I'm wondering if this is a horseshoe. One of my faves, and now so is this photo. Nice shot!

Very probably, I recall looking through an animal book for malaysia and I think what we decided was it was a type of horseshoe bat, can't remember which one though.
Thanks for the favourite.
