I present to you my new character to my FoE Broken Steel fic, Zyon.

Bio:

Zyon was born in Stable 53 under the city of Manechester (Manchester ponified). Stable 53 was home to an equal population of both Ponies and Zebra (loyal to the Princesses of course). The social experiement behind it was to see if the two populations could co-exist. Most of the populace kept to themselves due to the tention between Pony and Zebra from the war but there was some couples who managed a life together.

Zyon is half Zebra and half Pony as his father is a Zebra and his mother was an Earth Pony. Zyon lost his mother when he was six. Unfortunately his mother commited suicide because of the shame and hate her family had for her and her Zebra family, it sent her into a deep depression which only got worse despite the drugs she was prescribed to combat it. She took an overdose and died.

Zyon learned the ways of the Zebra. All the traditions and other things his Zebra family knew. He learned herbal rememidies from his grand parents and the Fallen Caesar fighting techniques from his father. He was also trained by his father to master his family's Tribal Sword, a weapon which was passed down from generation to generation.

Zyon however didn't care for his Zebra traits, he wasn't religious or believed in their beliefs. Maybe that was the pony in him but he learned them anyway as he respected his family. Zyon took a test like all Zebras in Stable 53 so they could find out what the zebras were suited to in the Stable since the strange partens they have instead of cutiemarks made them hard to figure out. Zyon found his answers earned him a technical support role.

Zyon discovered a love for machines. He would be happy to learn about anything mechanical, finding out how it worked and how to take it apart and reassemble it. His natural ability to learn technical stuff allowed him to figure out the complex PipBuck.

Zyon soon grew to hate the stable life, seeing the same walls, floors and ponies and zebras everyday. He couldn't take it anymore and he was sure as hell not gonna die down in his stable. He used his knowledge to disable and detach his PipBuck. Using his father's Zebra Stealth Cloak, a handy item to allow him to move through out the stable unheard and unseen, he snuck into the Overmare's office (a Zebra at the time) and hacked into her computer to retrieve the door control code. Once he had it he quickly made his way to the Stable door and opened it. He knew he would only have a matter of minutes before everypony in the Stable was on him and so as soon as the door began to roll to the side he bolted out of his Stable.

Zyon knew that the door would be closed and that the password would be changed to an auto change system to prevent further hackings but he was happy to have left. He had his tools and his Family's Tribal Sword. He knew he could look after himself and he knew he could defend himself.

Life in the wasteland has made Zyon into a strong melee and hoof to hoof fighter but its also made him abit sour. He's often sarcastic and speaks his mind, no matter who it may hurt. He would rather be in the company of machines than ponies or zebras which doesn't help to his attitude to others.

In his bag he carries a picture of a spanner and a screw driver with two nuts on it. He wishes it to be his cutie mark since it resembles what he loves to do.

When Zyon came across the wreckage of the Kodiak II (see FoE Broken Steel chp3) he couldn't resist exploring the giant technological marvel, despite the fact it was on fire and been half blown to hell. He lost his father's Stealth Cloak when it caught fire and soon got himself trapped in a room with both exits blocked. Until a Steel Ranger came to his rescue.
