Description
More of my xenobiological speculations can be seen in my DA "Paleo & Sci Illo" gallery:

Here I envision a "super earth" of three earth masses in orbit about a pair of K-type "orange" stars. Scattered through the planet's massively dense atmosphere the light of the binary suns would look similar to the light of Sol that we see here on Earth.Β
Despite the intense gravity, the atmosphere is so thick that life forms of vast size can hang buoyant in the air. These "air whales" are mostly air filled envelops that are metabolically kept hotter than the surrounding layer of the atmosphere. These creatures filter feed on the equivalent of areal plankton. Each one of them is so large that it could barely fit inside a modern sports stadium.
