According to the DC calendar of 1976, today is the "Official Birthday" of the Clown Prince of Crime; eighty years young and STILL madly in love with his own distinctive brand of mayhem!This illustration was commissioned from Mr Dan Hubsher, artist extraordinaire; all praise must go to him, all complaints should come to me! (I would like to take this opportunity to send my commiserations and remind him that I am NOT liable for The Joker stealing his mobile - You knew the risks of painting this particular subject from life Dan!).

Why because there was so much else to look at on deviantArt.com and so much of it is far better than anything typed up by myself (also because all the best work in my profile has been commissioned, rather than drawn with my own two hands, and therefore draws the browser away from Libra1010 towards suburbanbeatnik, sheather888 and Dan Hubsher).
