As part of our unit on the Russian Revolution our world history class read George Orwell's Animal Farm. We each were given chapters to illustrate...I got chapter VIII, and, naturally, planned something way to complicated to finish during a school week.I do think the result is good, though. Couldn't slip Benjamin the donkey in, though.

I'm really scared to read in-class novels now, or just novels in general. Every time I do, my favorite character dies. In Scarlet Ibis it was Doodle, in And Then There Were None it was Vera Claythorne, and in Animal Farm it was Boxer.
Seriously, it's like every. Single. Time.
The author takes such a long time to develop my favorite character's personality and get attached to them just to kill them in the end. It makes me pissed off and sad at the same time.
Rant aside tough, this is beautiful. It's one of my favorite scenes too! Brings back memories of those sleepless hours before the beginning of my sophmore year, desperately trying to get our internet connection working so that I could get on the Animal Farm section of Sparknotes and finish my summer English homework.
