I really wanted to draw something cinematic and dramatic looking...One day I'll learn how to draw a convincing background!

This is lovely! I like that the focal point is set on the horizon, it really adds to the sense of going onward and adventure. And the way you drew the wind blowing through the scarf and coat came out quite well, great sense of motion there.

Nice picture. I like the clouds and the composition as a whole. My only criticism is with the water; if it's the ocean, it's way to placid. All in all, you did a great job of doing what you set out to do. I don't recognize the characters. Are they OC's, or from something?
