Nane es una hiena muda. Puede producir gruñidos y alguna risa ocasional que usa para comunicarse con sus compañeros. Es bastante serio, y puede llegar a ser bastante intimidante también (incluso más que otras hienas de su clan, a pesar de que no habla). Es el mejor luchador en el clan de Janja , y es gracias a esto que se lleva bien con Saba . Puede atacar a los demás sin aviso previo y por cosas que pueden parecer banales, así que los miembros de su clan se mueven con cuidado a su alrededor para no terminar heridos. Frecuentemente tiene peleas con Moja .

Rasgos particulares:
Tiene una nariz triangular no muy ancha. Tiene manchas oscuras en la parte superior e inferior de su hocico. Tiene un par de cicatrices que pasan sobre su ojo izquierdo y bajan por la mejilla hasta el mentón. Su cresta es oscura y crece hacia arriba, y está dividida a la mitad por una cicatriz que la atraviesa perpendicularmente. Carece de cresta en la nuca, y solo crecen tres cabellos en la parte más alta de su cabeza. Su cola es corta y siembre está crispada. Se le marcan un par de costillas en el torso por la mala alimentación. La oreja izquierda tiene un corte provocado por una mordida en la parte inferior, y la oreja derecha dos cortes semiovalados en horizontal en la parte media.

Personality:
Nane is a mute hyena. He can produce grunts and the occasional laugh that he uses to communicate with his clanmates. He is quite serious, and can be quite intimidating as well (even more so than other hyenas in his clan, even though he doesn't speak). He is the best fighter in Janja 's clan, and it is thanks to this that he gets along with Saba . He can attack others without warning and for things that may seem banal, so his clansmates are very carefully moving around him so as not to get hurt. He frequently has fights with Moja .
Particular features:
He has a not very wide triangular nose. He has dark spots on the top and bottom of its muzzle. He has a couple of scars that go over his left eye and down his cheek to his chin. His crest is dark and grows upwards, and it is divided in half by a scar that crosses it perpendicularly. He lacks a crest on the nape of the neck, and only three hairs grow on the highest part of his head. His tail is short and it is always twitchy. A couple of ribs are marked on his torso from poor diet. The left ear has a cut caused by a bite in the lower part, and the right ear has two horizontal semi-oval cuts in the middle part.
