Description This picture reminds me of a storm - all swirls and chaos - so i named it for a wind that rages through Algeria and Morocco. I love the names of some of the winds like - simoon or poison wind; sharav ( a wind through Israel); the sirocco of North Africa and the haboob of the Sudan....nice...Of course i would hate to be actually caught in one of them.

Wonderful texture and a stunning hot/cold contrast mingling into a beautiful purple

Thanks a lot....yes that purple is really rich. The painting needs to be in a good light though to see the power of the colours...they are almost metallic.

Oh I know exactly what you mean, most of my paintings had to have a picture taken in direct sunlight to bring out the vividness in them!
