Description
Practicing a new coloring technique! I like it. But it's time-consuming. T___TNeed to draw something besides 3/4 angle faces, too...
But it's nice to draw Oliver again. Especially in his letterman jacket.

Are you using a tablet? If you are, in this picture I colored with the brush tool, the "airbrush soft round" setting. With that setting the stylus pressure controls how dark the color is

Waking up to this on Sunday morning's a pretty damned good way to start your day, I must say. \
This is a pretty nice way to shade - but if it's too time consuming, you might want to save it for major pictures, or find methods of getting similar results with less effort. What did you use for this?

it's actually not that bad, I'm just being whiny. It's similar to how I used to color and shade, anyway, just taking advantage of more tools and settings

I can only do full front, if I can draw anything at all.

That's funny, since full front sometimes gives me trouble xD I think it's the symmetry involved. I can cheat and be asymmetrical with 3/4 faces.

Actually, the face is slightly asymmetrical. One eye is slightly higher than the other. It improves depth perception, or something. I'd have to look it up again to be sure.

I can never shade directly on my colors, I like to smudge it around to much ^^ but it looks good here.
not sure this'll help you as much it did me, but this is a tutorial for probably the fastest coloring and shading process I've been able to find yet:[link]

3/4 faces are the hard ones, though... (At least for me.) If you've got them down (and you definitely do from the looks of this picture) I don't think you need to worry about the other views. =-)

Haha, well, 3/4 is what I'm used to drawing... and a lot of the more dynamic poses have different views on faces, and those are what's most difficult to me xD
