Brooke fixed the last of the flowers onto OK rubbing her nose.
"You ready for this girl?" She asked leaning her forehead against the horse.
The Pat & Sniff breed would never cease to amaze Brooke and OK's oatmeal scent calmed her butterflies down to a peaceful buzz.
"Is that what you’re wearing?!" Interrupted Danny, looking at the goose bumps running down her arms.
"Yep," she grinned. "I'm getting into the spring spirit."
"Take this," he said wrapping his red scarf around her neck adding a few of the left over flowers.
Brooke ran to the mirror on the trailer door and began to do up her hair.
"I made you this," said Danny shyly, handing Brooke a red bandana.
"It's amazing!" She squealed, automatically tying it around her thigh. "Awww, you even put my name on it."
She threw her arms around him nestling her face into his neck.
"Thankyou," she whispered.
OK snorted, eager to get into the ring.
"Let’s go then OK," said Brooke making her way back over to the mare.
Danny gave her a lift up, laughing at her choice of footwear.
"What?! They're comfy," snapped Brooke, wriggling her toes in her ugg boots.
She trotted off towards the ring ready to enter her first dressage competition.
OK flicked her ears with excitement.
From behind her Brooke heard Danny call, "BOVRIL... Take your hair down, it's looks better like that."
Without a second thought she pulled the band out of her hair and entered the ring.
