Although I have my own interpretation of this picture, and drew it with that interpretation in mind, I'm not going to share it. Rather, I'd like to hear other people's interpretations of it. The picture can be taken literally or figuratively. If you can think of a back story about the picture I'd love to know it!ΒRelated content

Uhm..he feels barred by reality or trapped by something and feels like he can't speak and can't move his arms freely(enough) for whatever reason and so he wishes he could just escape into the wild where things are simpler, but he can't for whatever reason..or maybe he doesn't necessarily wish it, but feels or is cooped up. Depressed maybe despite the beautiful world outside.Β
That or someone just kidnapped him and stuck him in some weird tree jail cell. Maybe that person is yandere and has an obsession with him and felt something similar to that when they're near each other talking hanging out or maybe just when that person is just looking from a distant so they wanted him to see how they felt! Not in a "Mwahahaha now you know my pain!" but more like a "See, this is exactly how it feels for me when you're there..do you get it? Do you understand my feelings?" ..something morbid like that.
Anyway, this is a super interesting piece! I love it!

Oh ahah, well then cool! I err..don't think it'd be worth anyone's time to do know what I've been up to though, honestly ..as I've pretty much just been really lazy and lackadaisical(in most cases)! Hermitting basically! You seem like you've been working really hard though! Have things been working out for you?

Things are okay. I'm in a community college studying for character animation. Planning on trying for an internship at Disney, but I'm so lazy we'll see how that goes. (Doesn't even have a portfolio yet c r i e s )Β

but I mean, what else am I supposed to say besides yeaahh I've just been you know sitting..eating..sleeping..slacking off..not doing what I was supposed to do.. procrastinating..it's pretty much the same thing in different words. There isn't really anything interesting. Unless you wanna know what video games I've been playing or what anime I've been watching because that's all I've been doing. And nooo!! I wish I could abstain from it actually..I was always loitering around..but that's about it.

I'm sure most people would as well since hard work is a pain, but it's better to put work into something you can be proud of or make use of in the end, isn't it? Makes life feel more worthwhile I'd guess. Besides, I'm always getting complaints anyway! It's even more of a pain once you realize how far behind you are! ..then all you have to look back on are those wasted years..pft now I want to work harder!Β

Yeah, I draw a lot, but none of them would be good portfolio pieces I don't think? I could probably put a few in there, but it wouldn't be good to make them the main focus. I want to be a visual development artist or a storyboard artist, so my portfolio has to focus on character design, prop design, environment design, (or storyboards).Β

Okay, so I will interpret what I feel what I see in the picture.
At first it was just the pretty flowers that caught my attention, but then I saw the red ropes, and I was a little shocked. What is shown on the outside is not necessarily how what is on the inside. The feeling of being caged and not being able to let your feelings out.
The colors, and the works are amazing, and I love how you do you plants, and the dark adds and a special edge to the piece. It really is great.
