Originally this started out as a not too serious idea. But it changed after I heard My Immortal by Evanescene.I would imagine that things were easier for these two when they were younger, and the job wasn't such a big thing, and over the years it's likely that they've drifted apart. I'm sure Grell misses the times when they were closer, and if so, he probably feels as if the person he befriended all those years ago is disappearing, even though he's still with him.
I apologise for the sudden emotional piece but this is what Autumn does to my head

Oh man, backgrounds are the bane of my existence. I'm about as good at backgrounds as Kubo is...which is not at all XD I think the double-slap is entirely necessary!

I usually paint backgrounds if I can be bothered to do them at all. So much faster then colouring with pencil XD There's really no excuse for it in his case though. You get payed to do it Kubo! You might as well do it properly!!
