"It's a dirty job...but someone has to do it, Princess."TheTacoGirl gave out a challenge to redraw a favorite scene from the Legend of Zelda cartoon, and I decided to take it up. I chose this scene from Episode 3: The White Knight. Essentially some He-Man wannabe starts romancing the Princess and blah blah blah but he's too vain to get dirty so when her kidnapper takes her across a muddy swamp, Sir PrissyPants isn't willing to get muddy and it's up to Link to be the hero blah blah blah....
Crappy synopsis aside, I chose this scene because:
A. Visually one of my favorite scenes
B. Zelda looks dang fine in that dress
C. I'm pretty sure it was an important milestone for Zelda and Link in understanding each other.
I might draw this again, next time in more of my own style. Then maybe show a side by side comparison of the three. IDK.
Either way.
Enjoy it nonetheless. As many flaws as the cartoon had, I still had fun watching it.

It may be my imagination, but everything looks squashed down(That's the best I can describe it. I'm awful with words.) a bit. Their faces seem somewhat off as well. Other than that, everything looks nice. You did a good job.

Thank you~ I think it looks a little squashed because the dimensions of my canvas were different than the reference XD I'll keep that in mind next time I do a screencap redraw.

I love that episode too. Zelda's a bit of a jerk to him, but it made her appreciate Link more after pretty boy refuses to defend her. I like how you did Link's face, it's surprisingly difficult for his cartoon version because it's so European by contrast to the newer games.

For me, it was probably the first moment where Zelda's opinion of Link probably began to turn around.
