Description Shaina breathed a sigh of relief as she saw a Dragonite appear on the lake. "Why didn't you tell me that the two of you pulled it off?" She asked Knight, who was reluctantly standing near her.

"It didn't come up," Knight responded, concentrating on the match.

"Like hell it didn't. I only asked several times," Shaina snapped, glaring at him. She wasn't too happy that he decided to ditch the BBC gear that she had given him. Now she was pretty mad that he wouldn't tell her something as simple as whether or not her best friend had managed to set out what she wanted to do.

Knight glanced at her and then went back to the match. "You can stare at my fantasmical face all you'd like but at least now you have your answer."

Shaina kept composed as her attention went to the match, although she wouldn't be lying if she said she wanted to punch him in the face. She took a deep breath and softly sighed to herself.

What the hell did Charpie see in this guy anyways?

oOoOoOo

Charpie grinned as Temeraire flew over head, pausing ever so often to work with his wings. She knew he was getting used to his new body since he hadn't been a Dragonite very long. She had used up all her luck when Temeraire was able to evolve after beating Knight's Zweilous, L'Diablo. Of course, that was also after he managed to break her arm with a swing of his tail.

Charpie frowned. She honestly wasn't expecting him to swing. Growl, yes, but swing, no. He was more irritated than she had estimated and it had cost her.

"Kasa, take him down with Dragon Pulse!"

Charpie snapped to attention. She couldn't afford to over think this, not when Dominic was pulling out the big guns already.  "TEM, WATCH IT!"

By the time she shouted her warning, the Latios was already forming a large sphere of energy within his arms. Surprisingly listening to his trainer, Temeraire heard her warning, and tried his best to fly out the way. However, once Kasa released his attack, the wave of purple energy went straight for its intended target, hitting him so hard that he crashed into the lake.

Charpie fell to the floor as the waves from Temeraire's fall violently shook her raft back and forth, instantly seeing stars. Blinded by the pain from her broken arm, it took her a few moments to realize what was happening. Water lapped onto the raft, soaking her pants and shoes but for those few moments all she could do was breath as the pain surged in her arm. She couldn't move.

In the distance she heard someone yelling something at her but she couldn't make it out. Charpie did however make out that something had bumped against the raft and slowly steadied it. Then a rough yet wet surface rubbed against her. She turned her head to the edge of the raft, where Louie was giving her a concerned look.

"Feral," he grunted at her.

Charpie weakly smiled. "Thanks, Louie." With the raft steady, and the stars and the pain subsiding, she was finally able to think straight. More than anything she really wanted to be off this raft with the battle over with. But she wasn't going to just give in. Charpie took a deep breath and looked at her oldest and most reliable pokemon, her mind racing at the possibilities. "Think we can end this quickly, Louie?"

In his own lazy way, Louie nodded with a low "Gatr".

Charpie snorted as she used his nose as a crutch to help herself up. "Good. If he's still fit, go tell Tem to get back in the air. I have an idea."

Once he saw that his trainer was fully standing. Louie grinned, and lazily rolled back into the water. As he swam away, Charpie could see him racing right below the lake surface, his spikes breaking through every couple of strides.

Mike the Magnemite hovered above her, some concern registering in his only eye. "Are you in need of any medical assistance?"

Charpie gave him a weak wave. "No, no. I'm good. Let's go ahead and finish this."

Mike nodded and shot up towards the middle of the two trainers. "Let's continue with the end of ROUND 2!" The audience around the lake broke out into cheers.

Although a little disgruntled looking, Dominic nodded when he saw that she was okay and
sent Kasa back into the fray. "Go take care of em," he said with a grin. "KASA! GO INVISIBLE AND FLY CIRCLES AROUND THESE NEWBIES!" Dominic yelled. Kasa folded in his arms and in the blink of an eye, he was gone, with the whipping of his trainer's mohawk the only sign that he was once there.

Mind racing and pain subsiding, Charpie brought her attention back to her own pokemon. Louie had reached Temeraire in record time, although the later was still in the water. Though the Dragonite was a little worn down, Charpie could tell that he was more pissed that he had gotten hit by such a strong attack more so than actually hurt. She also saw that he noticed his opponent disappear into the air. Desperate to chase after him, Temeraire quickly got himself back into the air, frantically searching for his opponent.
"TEM, YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN!" Charpie yelled at him but the Dragonite wasn't listening, instead flying around searching for the other opponent.

Charpie had just about had it with him. He "DAMMIT TEMERAIRE YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME OR SO HELP ME I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE!" The Dragonite paused, looking at his owner.

Charpie took a deep breath, very easily the millionth one of the day. "LISTEN FOR HIM, GOD DAMMIT!" She wasn't sure if it was because he was actually listening to her or just distracted by all of her yelling, but Temeraire was still long enough for them both to hear one thing. Kasa's approach toward the dragon. Both their heads snapped towards the direction.

"TEMERAIRE, DRAGON RUSH!" Charpie yelled at him.

Dominic wouldn't let that pass. "KASA, DRAGON PULSE!" As the dragon formed another ball of energy, he broke invisibility.

As soon as he clearly saw him, Temeraire shot off towards the other dragon, flying fast and glowing with his attack. As fast as the Latios was, the formation of his attack was slowing him down. Enough for Temeraire to reach him before he was finished with his attack.

The blast created by the crash was enough to send a bright shockwave throughout the sky. This time Charpie prepared herself for the wave of water as Temeraire came crashing in again. Except that this time, the attack was effective enough to knock out him out. But he wasn't the only one to come crashing into the water. The impact from Temeraire's Dragon Rush sent Kasa flying into the water too. Exactly where Charpie wanted him to be.

Dominic nearly fell off his post shouting at his pokemon. "KASA GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THERE AND USE RECOVER!"

"USE ICE FANG, LOUIE!"

Kasa never stood a chance with Louie in his natural element. As soon as the Feraligatr figured out where the dragon was going to land, Louie shot off in the blink of an eye. The moment the command left Charpie's mouth, he was upon Kasa before the Latios could get his bearings straight. Super effective and critically hitting him, ice bearing fangs sank into Kasa knocking him out.

"THE LATIOS IS UNABLE TO BATTLE LEAVING DOMINIC WITH NO MORE POKEMON! CHARPIE HAS WON MATCH 12!"

Charpie sighed called back Temeraire. She was completely soaked and in pain, but she couldn't help but smile as she heard the cheers from the crowd. She did it.

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"Okay good job. Now let's get your ass to the hospital," Shaina said, placing an extra towel (a Bibarel Berry one, Charpie couldn't help but quickly note) around her best friend who was sitting in the medical tent, waiting for the ambulance (which had been used early before Charpie's match).

"I go out there and nearly get killed for her highness and all I get is just 'a good job'?" Charpie asked with a weak smirk.

Shaina shot up an eyebrow. "I believe you said others only an hour or two ago. And for such a death defying match, I'm glad you're still able to be smart ass."

She paused, then wrapped her arms around Charpie and hugged her tightly. "You know that I couldn't be prouder of you, Char."

Charpie gently hugged her friend back. "Yeah, I know."

"I am so sorry that this had to happen to you. It never would have happened if I hadn't pushed you into this."

Charpie pulled away and smiled at her best friend. "Maybe, but I was the one who pushed to train Tem that way. So we're both to blame."

Shaina snorted. "Sure. I'll accept that."

"Alright, you've had enough time with her. Would you mind giving me some time now?"

Shaina groaned. "No one invited you to this party."

Knight grinned as he walked in. "Well consider me a party cemasher then."

Shaina grimaced. "Oh that was horrible. You couldn't possibly think that's enough to get
rid of me…" She stopped as Knight wrapped his arm around Charpie's shoulder.

Sighing, Shaina took a step back. "You know what, I think I'm just going to go make sure
all the merchandise is picked up. I'll be back when the ambulance comes for you, Char.
And for the record, Knight, you're jokes suck."

Knight shrugged and waited till Shaina left. He looked down at Charpie, who was giving him a rather intriguing look back. "What?" he asked.

"That was really bad."

"But it got her to leave us alone."

"………….."

Knight leaned in and kissed her forehead. "How are you?"

Charpie did her best to fight off the rising blush but failed. "I'm soaked, tired, and my arm is killing me. But I admit I feel pretty good. I beat him." She could feel her heart race as Knight wrapped both his arms around her.

"Yeah, and to think you could have done it without breaking your arm too."

Charpie snorted, "Well, too late for that."

He kissed her forehead again. "But I'm proud of you."

Charpie gave up on trying to hide her blush. "Thanks. Now I can add legendary to my list
of battles."

Knight looked her in the eye. "Minor legendary."

She couldn't help but smile as he leaned down to kiss her on the lips. "Whatever."
