Description        It was the ultimate rush. His blood was pumping hot like lava as he raced toward the dragon known as "Killer". Killer…it was the perfect name for his type of opponent. Strong, dangerous, deadly….the only words that could be used to describe any mon worthy of facing Diego's raw skill and strength. He was a fiery force to be reckoned with….He was a God.

Only a god was worthy of facing the impossible, and a Combusken against a Fraxure was as impossible as it got.  That was evident by Diego's rough breathing. He was struck good and hard by Killer's X-Scissor and it had left a large mark over the front of his chest. Meanwhile, the dragon stood opposite of him, looking as if he hadn't been fighting at all. That didn't matter for Diego. It only made the fire run faster through him. Off in the distance, Diego could hear the faint call of his trainer, but he didn't have to think twice about what Ave was telling him. Despite the pain and the impossibility of the situation, the very same fire that ran through his very core was radiating in the glare he was shooting right at Killer.

All he needed was to take a deep breath of sheer confidence to get the Bulk Up to take full effect. Heat and power radiated off his body as he took a running leap, soaring into the air. It didn't matter if his next attack wouldn't work. He would make it effective. After all, Diego would make the impossible happen. He was a god.

Very nice writing here. I like how it shows how Diego respects his opponent's power without being afraid of it, and that it sort of excites him to have a challenge, and how the descriptions you used were very sensual, and make the reader really feel what's going on.

I'm not really a professional writer myself, so I can't really give much of a critique besides saying what I liked.
Good luck!

LOL. That's a polite way of putting it. I often see Diego as looking at someone's power like candy. He feeds off of it so well but I'm really glad that you were able to get that from reading. Thank you so much for your critique! I really appreciate it.

So the stronger his opponent, the more effort he puts forward? That's a pretty neat characteristic.

Yup, and his effort can be incredibly reckless too. I find him to be an interesting pokemon.

I've got a character sorta like that. More than willing to take a hit if it means he can hit them back. One of my favorites, in fact.

I actually haven't drawn him yet (Sorta), because he's part of this rp that me and a friend have had going for a long time, and I didn't wanna spoil anything, because I was planning on doing some sort of comic, but I think that's still a ways off before I'm good enough to wanna get a serious start on that.

It's the psuedo-brother of the draconian character I draw a lot, Charnel. He's the left side (The darker one) in this pic [link] . I drew that because how he's introduced in the story is that at first it's just Charnel, but he's always had these bouts of feral rage for almost no reason at all. Then when he's fighting against a powerful spirit being, it notices a sort of curse on him, that's sending him into the rages, and making him way more powerful during them. So of course the spirit thinks he'll get weaker if it destroys the curse. So when it rips the "curse" out of him, it turns out that it was a sealed off demigod of strength and bloodlust. So he's not really evil, he just likes to hit things.

He doesn't know he's a demigod though, as he has no memories besides the ones he got while essentially possessing Charnel, and just thinks of himself as Charnel's brother. Some of the characters who have been fighting against the group Charnel is in say that he looks just like Charnel, only darker, and he uses that to name himself Darkar.

There's a lot more after that, of course, but that's just how he's introduced. I'm doing a drawing of him now though, so maybe it'll be done by the time I get back from sailing around for a couple weeks.

Almost done with the drawing of him now. Can't post it for a couple more days though, since I can't connect my laptop to the internet while my ship is at sea, and we don't get back for a bit.

I thought it was well written. Your Combusken has some blood-knight tendencies.
