Description Destroyah

--

This is the most terrifying entry in the Godzilla file. It is the closest to where the earth was wiped out. It also expresses the true terror that was lurking all this time behind the Godzilla File. It was the greatest battle of the Universe against the most Horrific Monster ever, leading to a sad, heartbreaking finale. The Countdown is on.

1995 A.D.
Twelve Days till Meltdown

Miki Saegusa began her final assignment in G-Force. She was on a G-Force Chopper heading out to Bass Island to check on the island’s two inhabitants after a volcanic eruption. However when the chopper came within proximity of the island, Miki saw that there was just boiling sea water and black smoke rising from where it used to be.

“Bass Island has disappeared.”

That night in Hong Kong, Godzilla appeared. However, this was MORE than Godzilla. The monster was larger now, his already dark skin was now completely black, and also along his body were patches of glowing skin. The orange and red colors of the patches made it look like his skin was burning. His spines and claws were also orange now. He was firing his Super Spiral Ray as if it was his normal Atomic Ray. His body was emitting steam and he had a mad look in his eye. What happened to Godzilla?

As you’ll remember back during the King Ghidorah incident, Godzilla’s nest in the Bearing Sea was a source of Nuclear Energy. Then Godzilla destroyed the Nuclear Sub and absorbed the radiation from it as well, getting more power than he ever needed. Godzilla didn’t have to go looking for a Nuclear Power Plant ever since. However, he kept increasing in power thanks to his heart working like a Nuclear Reactor. Then he received another power boost when Rodan transferred his Fire Powers to him. He also increased in power due to exchanging power blows with SpaceGodzilla.

Now, during the past year on Bass Island, Godzilla and Baby had been living quietly. However, suddenly the Volcanic Eruption occurred. You might believe that this, like Skull Island, caused Bass Island to slip into the ocean, but you’d be wrong. Seeing the explosion of the Volcano somehow influenced Godzilla. At that moment, Godzilla’s energy overloaded and somehow began to undergo Nuclear Fission. Godzilla’s power was now increasing. Like Monster Island before it, Bass Island was crushed under the weight of massive amounts of Radioactivity released from Godzilla’s body. The power here resulted in Godzilla’s new startling transformation. Godzilla had now become Burning Godzilla.

After devastating Hong Kong, Counter-G met to determine how they could deal with Godzilla now. They sought the help of an unpublished Godzilla Expert – a college student by the name, Kenkichi Yamane. His father was a Native of Oto Island. After his parents were killed the first night Godzilla came ashore, Dr. Yamane adopted him. Ken wanted to become a scientist – but he failed his exams. So ever since, he studied Godzilla. Yukari Yamane was his sister. She was a famous Newscaster. Professor Fukazawa went to see him and asked him about his hypotheses about Godzilla. After some consideration, Ken agreed to go to G-Force.

Eleven Days until Meltdown

He expressed great interest in wanting to meet Miki. He had been a great admirer of hers. Fukazawa introduced him to her. She was on her new mission leading the team to find Baby after the island sank. Ken believed that Baby was dead. Godzilla survived the blast because he regenerated and became a Super Monster. But Ken believed that Baby couldn’t survive the change.

Keeping track of Godzilla was a lot easier than it was in the past. Now all they had to do was check for abnormal rises in the temperature in the sea water. Sure enough, Godzilla would be there. Ken met with the other officials at G-Center when it was learned that there was too much nuclear fission going on in Godzilla’s body. Ken explained his theory. Godzilla’s Nuclear Reactor Heart needed to be cooled by his low body temperature which usually came from Air and Water. But since the fission was no out of control, Godzilla’s Body Temperature was rising. Ken believed that at this current rate Godzilla would increase in power until he would finally explode! Ken speculated that the resulting blast would be devastating, more powerful than every nuclear weapon on earth combined, wiping out all of Japan. But the damage wouldn’t stop there. The heat released from Godzilla’s body would cause the atmosphere itself to explode, vaporizing all life on earth. It was ironic, if Godzilla was to go down, he’d take the earth with him.

Yukari was interviewing Dr. Ijuin who succeeded in discovering Micro-Oxygen. His new discovery could be used in smaller oxygen tanks for divers. And if it be fed into Fish, they’d grow larger than normally fed fish – solving the world’s food problems. However, Yukari grilled him on the possible weapon implications. The tiny atoms could pierce any metal. But he defended that if any weapon was created, there’d be a nuclear war. However, that night Yukari’s aunt, Emiko invited her over. Emiko was now an old woman, but she still remembered every single moment of November 3rd, 1954. She had been watching the news report. She was worried because the Micro-Oxygen device sounded a lot like what Doctor Serizawa invented. Who could forget the Oxygen Destroyer? The device that destroys all oxygen in the water, suffocating the marine life, and then liquefying them into nothing but bones. Serizawa destroyed all his research, then sacrificed himself to keep the weapon from falling into the wrong hands. But now, Emiko feared that Ijuin’s Micro-Oxygen was the same thing. Yukari went to Ijuin the next day and asked him not to make an Oxygen Destroyer.

Ten Days until Meltdown

However, elsewhere near Tokyo Bay a construction crew experienced some problems. An electrical problem shorted out all the lights and what’s worse, the elevator shaft began melting. The crew evacuated the area as fast as possible. Ijuin went there to collect soil samples. As Yukari pointed out, it was being built over the site where Godzilla was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. While they talked about the soil, he explained that the soil had no oxygen millions of years ago, in the Precambrian Era. The creatures back then didn’t need oxygen to survive. He wanted the soil to find answers that would help in his research about Oxygen. It was strange; after endless hours of examining one soil sample after another they came across one that had signs of life. Something was alive in there! But hours later, when they continued to examine the same soil piece, they didn’t find anything. That is until Ijuin took the glass container the soil was kept in and found a rather large hole in it. Something had eaten through the glass and crawled out of it!!! There was a life form inside it.

General Aso was greatly disturbed that they could no longer attack Godzilla. As Ken described it, it would be lighting a tinderbox. They’d ignite the explosion. Since Conventional Weapons were no longer an option, all agreed that they’d have to go with a chemical approach. The Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria would be an option, but there were two reasons why they couldn’t. 1; Dr. Serizawa was dead and no other scientist could successfully make the bacteria. And 2; even if they got it into Godzilla it would probably thrive under the higher temperatures temporarily but it wasn’t an Archaebacteria and Godzilla’s new body temperature would most likely kill it. Much to Miki’s disapproval Ken put it best when there was no alternative.

“We must kill him, the way Godzilla was killed before…The Oxygen Destroyer!”

This plan could backfire in many ways. It was true that Godzilla had been killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. But like Martin said, they never found any corpse. The weapon would’ve reduced Godzilla to bones. Plus, the visitors from the future explained that the Dinosaur and the Godzilla up until that point were one in the same with the Godzilla that first destroyed Tokyo during the 54 attack. So how is that he was still alive? The answer to these questions shall be answered later.

That night, as if in some strange Omen, Emiko had a dream about when the Oxygen Destroyer was used. She saw Godzilla caught in the geyser of bubbles, but then suddenly she heard the roar of a creature that wasn’t Godzilla. She awoke with a fright after hearing it. It was like the Oxygen Destroyer was its own monster entirely. When Ken visited the next day, she asked him not to follow through with this saying that Serizawa sacrificed himself to make sure it was never used again. Ken said that if it wasn’t used, then the Earth was finished. He and Yukari went to see Ijuin. They asked him to build an Oxygen Destroyer, even after Yukari had begged him not to. He was a bit reluctant after seeing the effects the first weapon had on the soil that he’d examined.

“If it hadn’t been used on the ground, then Tokyo would’ve become a Cemetery.”

It’s astonishing to note that the device had such power. He like Serizawa didn’t want it to be used in the wrong hands. At that moment, Yukari received a phone call from her superiors. They wanted her to do a report on an incident that happened in the aquarium the previous night. The security guard at the Aquarium was making his final inspection when he saw something horrifying. Before his eyes, the fish began to die. They seemed to somehow be vaporized into Skeletons! The security camera saw it too, so when he told others about it, they knew he wasn’t lying. Ijuin saw the tape and took it back to his lab to examine it. There was no doubt in his mind that the fish were killed due to the destruction of Oxygen in the Water. When he played the tape in slow motion, he saw that there was a tiny red organism swimming about the tank while the fish died. Using his computer, he digitally scanned it and saw that it was some unknown form of micro-crustacean. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that it was the creature that escaped his lab, using the pipes nearby to get into the Japanese Water supply. It was the only thing that could have survived if the oxygen was destroyed.

It survived since the Precambrian Era, most likely sealed inside a fossilized capsule. When Godzilla entered the area there, the creature must’ve been released. It was harmless and inert. However, when it got hit by the Oxygen Destroyer as well as being near Godzilla, Ijuin suspected that it was hit with tons of radiation. Ever since, it had been evolving abnormally. It somehow absorbed the ability to use Micro-Oxygen. This new parasite would be dangerous on the environment.

Nine Days until Meltdown

Godzilla was spotted north of Okinawa, heading further North. First Hong Kong, Taiwan and now Okinawa. He was headed for Japan. None knew why. Miki showed Ken reports of dead whales. They were believed to have been killed by a large creature. Miki believed it was Baby. But Ken thought it was strange. Baby wasn’t a killer, how could it be him? It didn’t make any sense. Miki believed the Bass Island changed something in him as well. But even using her powers over the area where the dead whales were found, there was nothing.

There were larger problems. Several unknown creatures were seen running across Tokyo highways. Bridges collapsed as they passed under them. Ijuin feared that the creature had mutated even further and worse, it multiplied. The police and military were called in once the unknown creatures were sighted near a building. Yukari and her camera crew were the first on the scene, ready to investigate this. A detachment of military troops went into the building and came across one of the creatures. They were about ten feet tall, red skinned, several crab like legs, a long tail with a spiky formation at the end, and disgusting mouths that could only be described as a cross between the mouths of alien and predator. The soldiers fired on them, but it did nothing to them. The creature’s spiky crests glowed and their mouths unleashed a purple beam of light. When it struck, a vortex was made in the soldiers’ bodies. The soldier’s couldn’t stop them. When the creatures broke out of the building, one of them went after Yukari. It almost got her being strong enough to rip a door open. The strange yellow eyes watched her maliciously. Its blast of light was powerful enough to rip the car in two pieces. It would’ve done the same to her, had Ijuin not appeared and pulled her out of danger.

After he saved her, troops armed with flamethrowers set the monsters ablaze. However, Ijuin thought that it was a bad idea. The globs of the monsters skin that fell to the ground began burning with a green color. He had a feeling that these creatures could reproduce that way. More microorganisms would be released into the soil and would grow into more of these monsters. Also, after witnessing the power of the beams shot from their mouths, he was certain that the ray was composed of radioactive particles of Micro-Oxygen.

Godzilla was spotted in the Bongo Channel, heading towards the Atomic Plant on the shore. Ken speculated that the fission grew so intense Godzilla needed extra supplies of nuclear fuel. Since he hadn’t fed in ten years, instinct was telling him to feed again. They knew they couldn’t attack Godzilla; they’d set off the explosion. G-Force could do nothing. However, the JSDF had something lying around. They salvaged the remains of Super X II and made a new attack craft; the Super X III!!! This new attack craft had no explosive weapons. Instead they had Freezer Weapons. Ultra Low Temperature Lasers, State of the Art Cadmium Missiles. The weapons were designed to bring anything down to the lowest temperature. The JSDF wanted G-Force to pilot it. They sent their best pilot; Kazuma Aoki.

The giant attack plane flew out toward Godzilla. Its armor was much more heat resilient than its predecessors, even able to withstand Godzilla’s Super Spiral Ray. They fired the ULT Laser Cannon mounted on the front of the plane. It began to freeze Godzilla and the water around him. He was beginning to be slowed down, coated in a layer of ice. When Godzilla roared, they fired the cadmium shells into his mouth. After that, Godzilla’s skin stopped glowing and he completely froze. Though, they all knew he wasn’t dead. They blasted his frozen body under the water. The cadmium was going to keep him at low temperatures. However, Kazuma’s scopes noted that Godzilla’s temperature was rising again. He’d stay frozen for about six hours. The Super X III then returned to base.

At the G-Force control center, they monitored Godzilla until he thawed out and woke up. Godzilla stayed underwater and turned away from the nuclear plant. Then, Ken checked the levels of fission in Godzilla’s body. It was peaking, but after they shot the cadmium into his body, it began to fall away. They got the fission under control. There’d be no explosion! It looked like the worst was over…but it had barely begun.

Eight Days until Meltdown

The next morning, Yukari was doing a report on the Creatures; they had gone silent. Dr. Ijuin was experimenting with Micro-Oxygen again, hoping to find a way to fight against the creatures. Micro-Oxygen liquefies at -183 Degrees Celsius. It could destroy them. So they told G-Force and the JSDF to arm all their military operatives with ULT Guns.

Seven Days until Meltdown

Miki expressed her grief to her fellow Psychic – Paleontologist, Mira Osawa – working on the Godzilla case. She noticed that her powers had been fading recently. With this saddening development, she feared that she wouldn’t be able to find Baby. However, she was sent out on a special emergency. Godzilla appeared off the shore of a popular beach. However, Godzilla was smaller, his red skin was gone, and his skin color was green. This wasn’t Godzilla – it was Baby!!! Miki marveled at the sight of him. He wasn’t a baby anymore. He was now similar to an adult Godzilla. She transferred the feed of him back to G-Force. Ken was equally surprised. The Bass Island incident must’ve affected him the same way that it had Godzilla. The radiation mutated him to be similar to Godzilla. Though he was still smaller, he looked just like him. Baby was no officially named Godzilla Junior.

Miki noticed that Junior turned north. She speculated that he was headed for the Bearing Sea. It was his father’s nest and a source of Radiation. He must’ve been going to nest there too. Fukazawa then checked the monitors and noticed that Godzilla changed his course. He was now, following Junior. Godzilla was headed for the Bearing Sea as well. Though it would take them somewhere near eight days of endless travel to get there.

Mira received word from the US Godzilla Center. They monitored that Godzilla’s Temperature was at 900 Degrees and still rising. Ken was confused; they controlled the Fission. He figured that because it got out of hand, his reactor was breaking up. And that meant only one thing; a Nuclear Meltdown! First Godzilla’s Heart would melt and then his outer body would. Nothing of him would be left. The resulting heat and radiation would melt a hole in the Earth to the planet’s very core. Then the Core would explode, breaking the planet apart. Meltdown was now worse case scenario, even worse than Explosion. They had to find a way to stop it. But odds were against them. Ken calculated that he’d melt at 1200 Degrees. His temperature was increasing by 50 Degrees a day. He’d melt down in seven days. He’d never make it to the Bearing Sea.

Six Days until Meltdown

Yukari was broadcasting live from over Tokyo bay where the soldiers lined up in preparation for battle with the creatures. Ijuin told them about the Ultra Low Temperature weapons G-Force had. It took about two days to have them built in surplus and another day to get them distributed. The creatures were quiet as the large tanks mobilized. It took them about a day to get everything ready. Their plan was to lure the monsters into the open so the tanks could get a good shot at them. Already, four days were gone. Now, all they had to do was wait.

Two Days until Meltdown

The creatures surfaced; some coming out of the ground and others rising from the sea. But now it seemed that there were twice as many as there was before. They were all congregating in an abandoned area near a construction site. The large tanks fired their ULT lasers and their Freezer Missiles. Soon snow began falling from the sky as the shells went off. The battle didn’t last long. It looked like it was working. Some of the creatures were dying. However, most of them suddenly retreated into the building to escape the bombardment. Ijuin was told that the creatures were assembling in one area. Their Micro-Oxygen detection scope was getting massive readings. The Micro-Oxygen in the area was going wild. What was going on?

Suddenly, lightning struck the building causing it to explode. Two large tentacles appeared from the rubble and a loud roar was heard. Suddenly a huge two hundred foot Creature appeared. This one had long tentacles coming out of its back. It had two huge crab claws. It seemed the creatures combined into one giant Monster. The tanks fired on it, but the ULT lasers did no good. Now, a single blast of that Atomic Micro-Oxygen ray could wipe out a whole building as well as the ULT Tanks. Ijuin then gave some startling words. He knew Micro-Oxygen; it didn’t have that kind of power. When he asked what does, the words he said still haunt me to this very day.

“An Oxygen Destroyer…it can destroy everything; its power is that awesome…Destroyah!”

The creature, now dubbed Destroyah by Dr. Ijuin was mutated by the Oxygen Destroyer and somehow gained the abilities of the weapon itself. People in the area around it were dying, choking to death before turning into skeletons. Something like this hadn’t been seen since Hedorah. Destroyah was a living Oxygen Destroyer. Suddenly, there was a huge explosion. Destroyah emerged from it in a new form. Like Hedorah, Destroyah’s third form could now fly! It looked comparable to a dragon now, with a vicious orange horn.

General Aso was terrified. Now there were two monsters; Godzilla and Destroyah. They had spent all of this time worrying about Godzilla; there was no time to worry about this new creature. They didn’t believe that an Oxygen Destroyer could exist as a living creature. But then, there it was, right there in front of them. Ken then had a theory.

“Only that monster can stop the Meltdown.”

His plan was to get Godzilla and Destroyah to fight. It seemed preposterous, but Ken defended it. He studied Godzilla more than anyone presently alive, and with only two days until Zero, could they afford not to try? But how to lure Godzilla to Tokyo? Mira got an idea to change Junior’s course, knowing Godzilla would follow. Against Miki’s sentimental denial, Mira said she’d change Junior’s course with or without her. Miki relented and went along. Once they went ahead with the plan, everyone within a 200 mile radius of Tokyo was evacuated.

On the Chopper, Miki and Mira spotted Junior still heading north. He was out to sea. They used their powers. Junior felt the familiar feeling of Miki’s mind linking with his. Junior then turned around and headed south west, heading back to Tokyo. Hopefully it would work.

24 Hours until Meltdown

For the rest of that day and into the next, Destroyah flew over Tokyo, destroying everything in sight. The people tried desperately to evacuate as quickly as possible. But as the afternoon came, Junior finally arrived. He roared as he entered Tokyo Bay just as his father had many times before. People panicked as they thought he was Godzilla. Others rejoiced. If Godzilla was in the area with a rival monster, History said that the other Monster would fall. Junior moved through the industrial area. He would not only lead Godzilla to Tokyo, but with a little luck, he’d hold off Destroyah’s destruction. Miki was worried though, he never fought anything before.

12 Hours until Meltdown

When he first arrived in the area where Destroyah was flying, the creature flew into him, ramming him with its large crest. Junior fell over as sparks shot from the impact. Destroyah then blasted the young Godzilla with his Micro-Oxygen Ray. He destroyed a building beside him, burying Junior in the rubble. Destroyah then went after the chopper that Miki and Mira were in. He was about to Destroy it, when suddenly, Junior erupted from the rubble. He shot a stream of Atomic Spheres that was focused into a beam, more powerful than the one he used when he was an infant. It now seemed like he could breathe Radioactive Fire. Destroyah went down, Junior continuing to shoot his atomic breath at him all the way. Junior roared in triumph.

However suddenly, Destroyah’s body dissipated into billions of red particles. They assembled together again in Destroyah’s Second form. He crawled toward Junior. Junior roared, accepting of the challenge ahead. He went in close, ramming his head against Destroyah’s crest. However, electricity sparked against the Monster Prince, holding him back. Destroyah’s Atomic Micro-Oxygen Ray pushed Junior back. The Ray forced Junior against a ruined building, knocking him into it, crumbling on top of him. When Junior returned to his feet, he was ready to fight. But Destroyah was gone!

Suddenly, the taller skyscraper behind him exploded, and Destroyah emerged from it, landing on top of Junior. His spiky legs went deep into Junior’s flesh while his claws and tentacles beat the little Godzilla. Junior shot his Atomic Ray at the Monster’s Tentacles, blasting them off. It seems Junior wasn’t as helpless as the situation deemed. But he was still trapped under the dark monster. His opponent was twice as heavy as he was. Miki suddenly felt Godzilla’s presence. He was coming! He surfaced out in the ocean. Hopefully Godzilla would come before Junior was killed.

However, suddenly Destroyah’s inner jaw extended from his mouth and he wrenched down stabbing into Junior’s chest. When he lifted up, it was covered with blood. Junior’s mouth began to foam. Ijuin, who had been watching alongside Yukari from the TV News Chopper in the sky, knew what was happening. Destroyah was sucking energy from Junior and inserting Micro-Oxygen particles into him. According to him, Junior wasn’t going to last much longer. But suddenly, Junior leaned forward and shot his Atomic Ray at Destroyah. After it impacted, Destroyah began to transform again. But Junior stood up and shot his breath into the swirling vortex of red particles. This disrupted Destroyah’s transformation. When he took off, he could not fly strait and flew strait into an industrial plant. Large flames climbed high into the sky.

Junior had done it! He roared triumphantly, having beat Destroyah. But it seemed like the hope for the world was lost now that Destroyah was dead. It didn’t matter much though. The terrible Destroyah had been beaten by the King of the Monster’s Heir. Now Junior turned away from the fire and began wandering about the city, waiting for the rest of the day. However, Ijuin noticed something strange when the chopper went over the destroyed plant. Something was happening in the fire…something bad.

6 Hours until Meltdown
Night had fallen. Junior’s roars had long since been answered by Godzilla’s as he approached Tokyo bay. Godzilla came ashore and began moving toward Junior, his body glowing bright in the blackness of the night. He and Junior finally spotted each other. They both roared out in surprise; for Godzilla it was seeing the tiny creature had grown into a large monster like himself. For Junior it was seeing that although he had grown so much, he was still only half his father’s size. But it still seemed sweet. They began roaring at each other, calling out to one another; talking. Godzilla looked genuinely happy to see Junior.

However, something very bad happened. A huge wave from the plant caused an explosion that completely destroyed the whole industrial area. A huge flame rose up creating thick black smog. But as the smoke cleared, all could see two huge wings standing, hiding inside the blackness. When the smoke completely cleared away, they saw a being 700 Feet Tall, lightning arching from all over its form. A blue light radiated behind its gigantic crest. A huge horn rose from the tip of its forehead into the heavens. It stood on two legs, had a long tail with a claw at the end of it, every limb was covered with spikes, even at the joints. Around its mouth were three pairs of tusks. Its dark yellow eyes showed true evil and terror. This creature looked like the Devil! It was the latest form of Destroyah’s Mutation. No one had ever seen a monster so big. It soon rose up into the air and took flight. It began moving towards Godzilla and Junior.

3 Hours until Meltdown

Godzilla’s Temperature was at 1140 Degrees Celsius. It wasn’t going to be long now. If Destroyah’s Oxygen Destroying powers didn’t finish Godzilla soon, then the whole world would be doomed. However, what would stop Destroyah afterwards? Suddenly, G-Center received a call from Ijuin in the chopper. He told them to send in the Super X III; when Godzilla melted down, they could minimize the damage by freezing him. They had to freeze him at the right moment. Kazuma and his two co pilots boarded the attack Jet again. Their weapons were replenished.

“Alright, let’s go freeze that overgrown lizard. This is gonna make my day.”

2 Hours 30 Minutes until Meltdown

Godzilla and Junior were almost within arms length of each other when Destroyah arrived. He blasted the space in between the two Godzillas, forcing them away from each other. He blasted Godzilla and rammed into him, forcing him to fall over. Then the large creature turned and swooped down and grabbed Junior by the neck in his giant claw. Junior was so tiny compared to this new form; he was just barely longer than Destroyah’s arm!!! Destroyah began heading towards the bay with Junior in hand. Once Destroyah was on the other side of the water, he dropped Junior into a building. The Monster Prince roared out in terror as his body hit the ground. A fall like that completely shattered his spine.

Miki and Mira landed their chopper in the area. They ran out to see if Junior was alright. Then Destroyah blasted him repeatedly. He shot at the entire area with his Atomic Micro-Oxygen Ray. Miki and Mira were lucky to have not been caught in the blast. Their chopper was completely obliterated. Miki watched as Junior was continually blasted over and over again. When Destroyah was finally finished, Miki and Mira ran over to Junior. He stared at Miki and was for a moment, relieved to see a familiar face. He let out a low roar. Then Miki saw Junior’s eyes close. She broke down crying. After all that time she’d spent trying to find him. Azusa was also crying when she learned of what had happened – she kept in touch with G-Force since her Husband was their best pilot. And not only was that, even Godzilla was crying! He watched Junior get taken and fall out of the sky. Tears began rolling down his face before they evaporated due to the heat. Ken speculated that he couldn’t understand why he lost his family.

2 Hours until Meltdown

Destroyah landed in front of Godzilla. Godzilla was still caught off guard. A single Micro-Oxygen blast knocked him to the ground. And he continued to blast him while he was down. It looked like Godzilla had lost his Will for Battle. But when Miki finally dried her tears and stood up, I believe she put it best when she said –

“I have a feeling this is going to be Godzilla’s Last Fight!”

Godzilla was mad now and he wasn’t going down without one. He shot his Super Spiral Ray at Destroyah. He stood up. The Monster King was ready to fight now. Godzilla and Destroyah walked towards each other, showing the clear size difference. Even though his Burning Godzilla form had made him taller, Destroyah was still a full 100 feet taller than him. But Godzilla still fought. He rammed his body up against Destroyah and slashed him with his claws. Magnificent sparks shot from Destroyah’s body. Destroyah attacked back. Godzilla kept on slashing and biting. Nothing was going to stop him. However, Destroyah lunged forward and knocked Godzilla into a building. Destroyah blasted him again. He then turned around and allowed the claw on his tail to grab Godzilla’s neck. The electric charge paralyzed Godzilla. Destroyah took flight and began dragging Godzilla.

Destroyah took Godzilla out to the water. They suspected that it was going to use its Oxygen-Destroying powers to finish him off. But Godzilla blasted him away and emerged from the water. Destroyah flew off. Godzilla then moved on heading back to the shore. Destroyah was headed back toward the area that Miki’s chopper was destroyed in. They had to get Miki and Mira out of there before they were killed. They called Yukari’s TV Chopper to go and pick them up.

1 Hour 30 Minutes until Meltdown

Godzilla’s Temperature; 1160 Degrees Celsius. It was in the Red Zone!!! G-Center finally got through the TV Chopper and asked them to rescue Miki and Mira. Godzilla stepped out of the water as the Super X III was entering the area. Godzilla began moving toward the site where Destroyah dropped Junior.

1 Hour until Meltdown

Destroyah landed in front of Godzilla again! The Monster King was ready this time. Nothing was going to stop him from reaching his son before it was too late. Godzilla went in close again. However, Destroyah’s horn began to glow. He then swung his head down, creating a beam that sliced through Godzilla’s shoulder. The heat from his body immediately cauterized the wound. But Destroyah kept slicing with his horn, cutting across Godzilla’s stomach. Destroyah’s roar made it sound like he was laughing. Destroyah’s chest cavity opened up and a heat beam shot from the opening. It was Destroyah’s Super Nova attack. It knocked Godzilla down. Destroyah kept firing the blasts toward Godzilla. Destroyah finally closed his chest cavity. Godzilla’s head was on fire when he got up. But Godzilla’s body glowed with Crimson Energy. He released a Super Spiral Ray. From such a close distance, it had painful effects. The second blast, ripped Destroyah’s chest open; the flower-like spikes on his chest opened up, exposing his flesh. The third blast caused Destroyah to vomit his grotesque yellow blood. Godzilla slashed at the opening, knocking Destroyah down. Suddenly, the huge monster exploded into a cloud of white smoke. Godzilla had done it! He beat Destroyah!!! Aso and Fukazawa were impressed.

“What a Monster…Seems even Destroyah can do nothing against Godzilla’s Power.”

But the fight wasn’t over yet! Suddenly, a dozen of smaller Destroyahs appeared from the ground. They were all in Destroyah’s Second Form. They began crawling toward Godzilla. One crawled up onto Godzilla’s arm. They all began spraying Godzilla with their Micro-Oxygen blasts. Godzilla’s red glow went down. It seemed like Godzilla was running out of power. Godzilla grabbed the one on his arm and threw it away. It exploded when it landed on the ground. Another began crawling up his back. Godzilla tried unleashing an Atomic Blast. Its color was blue!!! Godzilla was weakening! (Now this could be either good or bad. The good is that because of what Destroyah was doing, Godzilla’s power was going down – meaning there’d be no meltdown. The bad is that without Godzilla, the Destroyahs would multiply and spread unchecked across the globe!) Godzilla was seriously taking it from these mini monsters. He went down.

However, there was a bit of luck for Godzilla. When he fell, he landed on the others, his weight crushing them. The one on the back of his head broke apart due to the impact. Godzilla stood up. His glow came back. He then marched unstopped toward Junior. The TV Chopper finally landed in the area. Ijuin and Yukari began looking for Miki and Mira. They got the two back to the chopper and got them in the air. Miki never took her eyes off of Junior as he laid there motionless. He was in too much pain to even breathe.

30 Minutes until Meltdown!

The Super X III was flying about the area. Godzilla’s Temperature was 1170 and climbing. They were preparing to fire when it hit 1200. Godzilla kept walking. Soon he was in eye distance from the crash site. He could see Junior. He walked up to the little monster that he considered his son. Godzilla hadn’t acted this way since he first got Minya. He walked over to Junior lying on the ground. He bent down and looked at him. It’d be cruel of me not to mention how sad this moment was. Godzilla could tell that his son’s body was broken. But Junior had just enough strength to look up at him. He was dying…But there was one hope. Radiation brought Godzilla back from the brink of death several times before. He leaned his head close to Junior’s. Tiny waves of radioactive energy washed over Junior from Godzilla’s mouth. His body absorbed the radiation. Junior raised one arm. It looked like it was working, Godzilla was reviving him. But suddenly, Junior’s eyes closed again and he stopped breathing. It seems all the radiation did was taking away the pain.

Godzilla slowly stood up right. The look in his eye was of clear sadness. His body glowed with energy again! He fired his Super Spiral Ray as he roared with sadness. Godzilla’s power was increasing; the fission was back up again!!! Godzilla was all alone now and it saddened him.

Suddenly, Godzilla’s moment of mourning was interrupted when a Micro-Oxygen Blast hit him in the back. Godzilla turned around and saw Destroyah flying towards him. Destroyah circled around him, continually blasting him. When he passed again, he wrapped his tail around Godzilla’s neck. Godzilla tried to hang on. When he went down, he brought Destroyah to the ground as well. Destroyah’s tail began sucking energy from Godzilla as it dragged him across the ground. Eventually, the huge monster turned and threw Godzilla away. But when Godzilla got back up, his body was glowing yellow!

15 Minutes until Meltdown!

Godzilla’s temperature had made it to 1180! His Spikes were beginning to melt! However, the Monster King wasn’t through yet. If he was mad before, now he was furious! Through his rage, more Nuclear Energy was produced. And Godzilla had one intention of using it; avenging the murder of his adoptive son. The Target; Destroyah! Godzilla charged up for a blast. His spikes had melted open letting the radiation spill out. It looked like Godzilla had flames coming out of his back. It set the area behind him on fire!

10 Minutes until Meltdown!

The Super X III flew into the area. The Freezer Tanks began mobilizing in the area around the two monsters. It was incredible. Forty years ago, Godzilla was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. Now, the Monster King and the Oxygen Destroyer were going to have their final battle. No matter how it would end it ended today!

5 Minutes until Meltdown!!!

Godzilla’s body released Shockwaves that leveled all the buildings in the area. The entire area around the two monsters was on fire! Godzilla then fired his most powerful Super Spiral Ray yet. One that left a trail of explosions and fire in its wake. It struck Destroyah and the creature bellowed in pain and fear. Godzilla’s body released more shockwaves; these hit Destroyah. It was Destroyah’s skin that was beginning to melt now. Godzilla fired another that blasted Destroyah’s crest off. The Monster King roared with pure Rage. Destroyah knew he couldn’t win when the third blast hit. After the fourth blast struck his legs, Destroyah began flapping his wings trying to escape.

When he was up in the air, the Super X III and the freezer tanks fired the ULT Laser at his wings, freezing them. He fell back to the ground, half burned and half frozen. He landed in front of Godzilla. The Monster King quickly rushed towards him, determined to finish this. He grabbed Destroyah’s head and pulled it downwards. He bit down on the horn, shattering it into pieces. He kept hold of the head underneath his arm. The Freezer Tanks fired their freezing missiles at the two. There was a huge cloud of white that came over them. When Godzilla emerged from the cloud, he had Destroyah’s head in his arms. He threw it back towards the rest of the body and shot his final Super Spiral Ray. The body exploded with a white cloud. When it passed, Godzilla was all that was left standing. He roared in triumph. His body still emitting shockwaves. He had done it, he avenged his son…and in a way, he avenged himself. Godzilla had killed the Oxygen Destroyer; the weapon that could not kill him. Godzilla truly was King of the Monsters.

MELTDOWN!!!

Godzilla’s temperature hit 1200! It was the saddest moment in the Godzilla File. The Freezer Tanks and the S X III fired all their ULT lasers and freezer missiles at Godzilla. Eventually, everything went quiet. All watched as Godzilla flailed about in pain. The news broadcast was seen live from around the world. Everyone everywhere was saddened to see it. Most wished that the creature could just be left alone now. Kazuma’s scopes went haywire as he detected huge amounts of Radioactivity released from Godzilla. The G-Force scopes detected it too. A tremendous light flooded the screens as all watched…And then…it happened.

The flesh from Godzilla’s face began to melt away, revealing bone underneath. It was quite a horrible thing to witness. Godzilla didn’t know what was happening. He didn’t know why it was happening either. He looked around hoping that someone or something would help him; would relieve him from this pain. He looked up at the sky and made one last roar of pain – a roar heard around the world, releasing all the energy collected in his body from his chest. His spikes exploded in a fiery cavalcade. Then the rest of his body melted into oblivion. Not even a skeleton was left behind. I remember watching the scene, and a tear rolled down my face.

The Gigantic Beast that raged up from the depths of the sea on a tidal wave of terror that wrought vengeance on mankind, that stalked the earth in a psychotic cavalcade of electrifying horror that raged through the streets on a rampage of total destruction was no longer Alive. The incredible titan of terror that all modern weapons failed against, who wiped out a city of six million in a holocaust of flame was no more. The Creature who’s tale was fantastic beyond comprehension, gripping beyond compare, astounding beyond belief and went on to be called the Mightiest Monster of the All was finished. The Defender of Japan, the Savior of the Planet, was gone. Godzilla, King of the Monsters…was dead.

Godzilla left Tokyo as a ghost city. The radiation he’d unleashed would probably make the city uninhabitable for centuries. Yukari believed that in the end, they paid for all their misuse of radioactivity. After shedding her tears and removing her hat, and after working Seven Years at G-Force, Miki said that he job was done. Now all that was left of Godzilla was a large radioactive Fog.

However, Ken then noticed that the Radiation in the city was disappearing. The Fog was fading away. Mira and Miki looked up and looked back toward the scene. The fog began to roll back revealing a light. In the distance they saw a four hundred foot figure. It had a long tail, and extra sharp spikes along its back. It was roaring into the night sky as it headed for the ocean. Most who saw this believed it to be a ghost. I saw this and I knew that it was Godzilla.

“No matter what happens…Godzilla will live.”

--

The mysterious apparition that appeared after Godzilla’s meltdown vanished before anyone got a good glimpse of it, leading many to believe it was a ghost. It merely descended into the ocean, completely out of sight. In America there was great confusion for the papers.

“Godzilla DEAD!” was the first headline. But after the camera caught a glimpse of the fleeting creature, another paper was sent out. “Godzilla LIVES?”

I’d like to go into notes here, they aren’t much but, they are well deserved. I cannot sit through this file without crying. Friends, at that point I spent forty years of my life chasing after Godzilla, collecting as much information as I could about the creature. Ken said that he studied Godzilla more than anyone alive. Except to the governments, I don’t exist. And let’s just say that after seeing Godzilla die like that after the many times he’d saved the world, it really pains me.

G-Force was terminated after that, and the members disbanded. Miki left G-Force and went on to Marry Koji Shinjio. As I hinted, Kazuma married Azusa. Yuki Kuroki married Chinatsu Gondo. Takuya remarried Masako and is living happily with their daughter. Terasawa married the coworker who inspired the title, The Birth of Godzilla. And Dr. Kirashima married Asuka. All of these people who got involved with Godzilla got their happy endings. It was almost as if Godzilla had brought these people together.

My satellites detected the heat signatures in the Ogasawara Island Chain again. They all began moving on the different islands. There was even a signature from Infant Island. It was like they were wall watching what was happening; I wouldn’t be surprised if they could see the light from the ocean. Afterwards, the other monsters became agitated all of the sudden and began going wild. They even began attacking ships. The JSDF dug up an old project that the Government wanted to put into action again. Ogasawara Island, the largest island in the Ogasawara Chain was the perfect spot. They set up stronger barriers, sonic generators and a state of the art control station. Since no one had tested a nuclear weapon for thirty years, this new island would not be crushed by radiation like Monster Island before it. The Monsters would have plenty of space in their new Monster Land. But the other monsters were still upset. Their anger eventually became sadness in their captivity. Minya and Anguirus were the ones the most depressed. But regardless, Monster Land was now up and running.

There is one final note that I’d like to get to. Now, you all may believe that the ‘creature’ that appeared after the meltdown was Godzilla Junior. This is a plausible theory. The Radiation from Bass Island mutated him to evolve out of his Godzillasaur Species and closer to Godzilla. So another dose of Radiation would cause him to become a full-fledged Godzilla. The theory could in fact work. But there’s only one problem with that theory…We found Junior’s Corpse. We found him right where he had been dropped. Like I said, his skeleton was completely shattered. Plus, Godzilla had been tossed away from where Junior’s body lied, and the creature that appeared after the meltdown was closer to where Godzilla was. So the question goes as to what exactly it was that appeared? The answer will be revealed soon.

Afterwards, Mothra went on to have four more adventures of her own. The final of those events is probably the most important to the Godzilla File. I’m trying to get it transferred over here. The next few files will be great. However…the file right after this one is one that no one is particularly proud of. It’s quite frankly painful to sit through and I can’t believe they’re making me report on it. It was all just one big mistake.

Good night friends…and just remember what Steve Martin said – he also said it to me after we watched the melt down. “No matter what happens…Godzilla will live.”

Last year...My friend created the basis for a Destroyah Sprite...in Godzilla Month 2009, I myself created some great Destroyah Sprites using that base. And now...Godzilla Month 2010...I feel honored to use those sprites again.

I like this version of the tale. I see you were never a fan of the "Jr. is mellenium Godzilla" theory either. Should Godzilla Jr ever be brought back for another film, how do you plan to explain his return? Will he simply have regenerated from his injuries?

Mostly - on the first issue; I legitimately found the idea of Junior being "Lazarused" by the radiation a bit head-scratching. MORE Head-scratching than the idea of Godzilla simply regenerating; mainly because I always believed that Godzilla's healing factor WAS impressive enough to do that - basically being on the level of Wolverine or Deadpool...but because it was scaled up to HIS size, the effects would take longer. But still, being able to heal what HE gets hit with in five hours is still impressive. So, I figured the excess radiation in the area accelerated it.

My opinion of Jr. being the Millennium Godzilla somewhat warmed up to me over the years; if only to explain away why there isn't a younger Godzilla going around.

If I had to explain what happened to Jr. my answer is two-fold.
1; I KNOW I don't have to worry about it, because Toho is NEVER going to cross continuities into the older series again. Everything that happens from this point on is going to be its own thing.
2; if I DID have to explain his return, I'd most likely write it to where - since he IS technically a Godzilla, and there was rampant radiation in the area - his broken spine and damaged brain were able to regenerate. However, this process would've been slowed since he's not nearly on the same level as Godzilla is. My suspicion is, the Japanese government collected his corpse, before realizing he was still alive. Then they kept him in some sort of chemically induced coma, in order to allow him to fully heal, and so that they could study him - perhaps providing inspiration for the Kiryu Program in the later stories, or perhaps, reformatting him to be a cyborg monster.

Cool. and I know they won't continue the Hesei series but Toho could possibly bring Jr back in a different timeline. I meant if you had to bring him back for some sort of sequel to this series chronicling the the events of new Godzilla films.

It's a bit weird that Godzilla Jr in Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla stands upright like his father but in this he is hunched up like Zilla
