Description
This was a commissioned illustration for an album cover for the Black Metal band Orcrypt.

The album 'Mercenaries of Mordor', came out in December last year on Iron Pegasus records. The band wanted something reminiscent of a particular John Howe illustration. I also provided illustrations for the sleeve notes etc.

I will post the finished album cover as well.

Orcrypt are a three piece Black Metal band who produce 'Pure Goblin Black Metal', think Tolkien influenced lyrics (via Ralph Bakshi rather than Peter Jackson) with a sound aiming for early 90's Emperor and Burzum (before he became a murderous dick) and deliberately raw lo-fi production values.
