Oh, look! It's John Hurt pony a.k.a The War Doctor!
Meant to have this one up much sooner, but here you go!

I know he's officially referred to as the 'War Doctor', but what do you think he called himself by at the time? The only War Doctor novel I've read he still uses the 'Doctor' title when referring to himself.

That might be because he knows how both sides of the war react to that name. He might not think of himself as the Doctor, but he'd be foolish not to utilize his adversaries' knee-jerk reactions to the name against them.

Okay the J means nothing. Also my icon is the War Doctor. And in your Doctor Lineup, there's a noticeable height differential between the first , second, and seventh incarnations and the rest of the about the same height. But the War Doctor is basically as tall as the seventh. So yeah his height....

Ah. Here's what happened- I looked up John Hurt's height on IMBD and he's 5'9", which my brain interpreted as "Oh, an inch shorter than 6'!" Later on, I realized that was wrong...

This design is perfect, there is simply no other way to put it. It's a perfect marriage of two visual styles. It's just perfect for the War Doctor, and the broken hourglass is a stroke of genius.

It was interesting to say the least. The part that had me was when he removed his bowtie. Just like with Ten, close to tears when he regenerated, and like with Eleven was laughing when he complained about not liking the color of his new kidneys and asked Clara if she knew how to fly the TARDIS.
