Description Another coffee table, this time made out of a plastic coated wood.

3dsmax2010 - 30minutes
Indigo - 10hours (diffuse transmitter shader -_-)
Photoshop - 5minutes

10 hours shouldn't be necessary for a scene like this, on your i5

did you try rendering using plain (non-bidir) path tracing, also without MLT?

The backdrop/background material is actually fast SSS/diffuse transmitter and took forever for the noise to clear up! I think I used BiDir MLT?
I'm still really unsure which setting I should use for different scenes so if you could explain this it would be great!

i'd suggest not using MLT unless you have a very difficult scene, with glass and small light sources etc. in other words, try without it first
