Oh I really like this one!
I like the sharp detail of the foreground and the blurry glittering look of the background. It is a nice mix, truly I find it eye catching.

My approach to painting is to improvise, and let whatever happen. Sometimes it works, sometimes not and sometimes it's hard to tell...I'd hate to know exactly what I'm doing because that would be boring. But as a student, I have to look at what I did do and try to find a lesson in it. In this case I think I should have been a little more decisive on what I wanted it to look like.

Very much by chance, I'm afraid. I try to suggest things, but sometimes I get carried away and try for too detailed a look, which is never detailed enough to be realistic, neither fish nor fowl so to speak. Not where I really want to be...
