Description 22x30" 56x75cm acrylic on canvas board

I've had this canvas board hanging about for years, so I decided to use for abstract two. Abstracts, I think, are best big: bigger, at any rate than I usually paint, so this is a step in that direction. The nice thing about these abstracts is that though they take a fair amount of time to produce (and doing them over doesn't help), it's in small allotments: paint, let dry, scrape, put a layer of medium down, etc. so that I can do something, then I have to go out and lay about in my hammock until it dries. A perfect summer project. So far the hardest part of these paintings is decided when to stick a fork in it and call it "done".

Yes, it is quite hard to tell if an abstract painting is done or not...
Anyway, this is a great piece. I thoroughly enjoy the blues.

Especially mine where there is nothing really to "get". It is just colors.
