bc!! i love these twocopy+pasting the desc from hannah's bc im a lazy ladHannah: Dapplefoot trotted out of the Warrior's den, a tired but happy look on his face. His golden eyes bright as he look around camp, dipping his head at passing cats and saying hello. He yawned, briefly, before sitting down. The tom glanced around and suddenly realised he didn't know what had been going on recently. He'd been so absorbed with his own thoughts, that he hadn't been paying attention to anything that had happened in his clan. His frowned slightly. He'd even missed the gathering!
daddy connor: Perking his ears, the elder listened to a cat that he considered a son to make an appearance in the camp.
"Dapplefoot," he purred as the warrior came closer.
"I'm surprised you weren't in a coma! How are you feeling today?," he murmered with a rough but happy tone.
Sheepbelly's paws were resting in front of a half eaten vole, one he obviously didnt wish to share with anyone.
Hannah: Dapplefoot quickly smiled again, thanks to the voice of the elder. "Ah, Sheepbelly! Good day to you!" The large cat greeted, dipping his head. "I'm not even sure if I WASN'T in a coma, to be honest." He chuckled, "I'm good, though, thanks. How are you today?" he glanced down at the unfinished vole, which Sheepbelly seemed to be protecting, making sure he didn't have to share.
daddy connor: Seeing the quick gaze of his snack, the elder fluffed up his neck fur with a cheeky grin. "If you were in a coma, you missed a lot! Owlstar's declaring war on the clans," he purred. Blinking and realizing what he said, Sheepbelly's whiskers physically drooped.
"Owlstar's declaring war on the clans," he echoed but this time in a proper tone for the situation. "Rockclan apparently has Streamclan apprentices and won't hand them over, Woodclan's siding with Rockclan, and we're neutral. I'm worried for war, but it's inevitable."
Hannah: Dapplefoot's smile faded to a grimace, he hated conflict between the clans more than anything else. He felt it was ridiculous. The clans would be so much better off, if they'd just get along with each other. Though, it seemed, it was never going to be like that. He sighed. Owlstar... He remembered meeting the tom, a few moons ago, by the borders. The tom had mistaken him for Dustswipe and he'd been too nice to tell him differently. "It's kind of a shame," he murmured, "If Rockclan would just hand the apprentices over, all would be fine. Also, even though Woodclan is siding with Rockclan, why is he declaring war on ALL the clans?" The tom clenched his teeth, "There must be a much more civil way to solve this. Every single time a problem comes up, all the leaders thinks it's appropriate to just declare blood shed. It's so..so.." Dapplefoot growled slightly, before sighing.
daddy connor: Sheepbelly pressed his ears down.
"I'm not sure. I remember meeting the tom at a gathering when he was a wee apprentice. I don't know what's going on between his ears anymore."
Drawing a tired paw over his cheekfur, the elder seemed distraught.
"I feel it was because of Rockclan and Woodclan going against his clan, he may have assumed Valleyclan would join."
The green eyes of the partial tabby scanned the floor nervously. Streamclan was strong, he knew that for a fact. Sneezemask was the posterchild for how strong they were, he was an elder that died saving another clan's cat.
Hannah: Dapplefoot opened his mouth, then quickly closed it. Should he tell Sheepbelly about his meeting with Owlstar? He trusted Sheepbelly, the elder was very trust worthy, but he wasn't sure if he should share.."I met Owlstar, once." The words just came out, "It was a few moons ago, he saw me at the borders and thought I was Dustswipe." The warrior sighed, "He seemed so nice, then. I never thought he'd lash out at all the clans." Dapplefoot forced a smile, "Nevertheless, I'm glad we're neutral. The last thing I want is Valleyclan siding with anyone."
[01/02/2015 22:24:58] daddy connor: Remembering the warrior that had Woodclan blood running through his veins but a Streamclan heart, the elder nodded at the similarities.
"Dustswipe was his mate, wasn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case."
Pawing at his mouse, the elder leaned down to nibble at it before sitting back up to study the warrior.
"Yes, we're remaining neutral but..", he hesitated, ".. did Owlstar say, ah, anything bad?"
Hannah: Dappletfoot nodded, "Me and the tom were related, not closely, though. Actually, I never had a one on one conversation with the cat." Dapplefoot frowned, "He always seemed rather tense though, as if he'd attack anything that ticked him off. I'm kinda offended Owlstar thought he was me." He laughed, then looked back at Sheepbelly. "I don't think so. In all honestly, he was extremely placid when we meet. He seemed kind-hearted."
daddy connor: Nodding, Sheepbelly's mind began to wander. If Owlstar thought Dapplefoot was Dustswipe, and Owlstar cared mostly for Dustswipe.. Blinking and tilting his head, the elder smiled tiredly. Did his son return the feelings?
"Every villan has days where they seem just like anyone else. I feel he has bad blood now, but I am unsure. Besides, Streamclan's low on cats anyways. I'm surprised they're managing to keep themselves alive with all the hatred they harbor."
Hannah: Dapplefoot looked at the expression on Sheepbelly's face and felt his ears and face grow hot. Did he know....? Was the warrior /that/ easy to read? Dapplefoot quickly cleared his throat, "I feel there's still some good in him. Afterall, he lost his mate and grief can quickly turn to hate. Hate can rot away a cat's soul, but I feel it leaves the goodness in their heart intact. I feel that any cat, good and evil, can easily turn to the opposite side when given the right circumstances. I just hope Owlstar can realise that and, maybe, peace can come to the clans."
daddy connor: His words danced on his tongue before he managed to spill any.
"I hope so as well, he was a loyal and brave warrior. It appears he's turned cowardly with this whole war." Nudging the mouse towards Dapplefoot, Sheepbelly pricked his ears up.
"Would you like some?"
He still wore the tired smile on his muzzle, his joints hurting more and more as the days carry on.
Hannah: Dapplefoot smiled at Sheepbelly's offer, "I would, thank you, " He bent down and took a bit out of the mouse. He straightened up and sighed, this time happily. "I hope the clans can accept each other, it might take many moons, but I want it to happen." He grinned, "I guess it's something like a dream of mine, nothing would make me happier, to be honest."
daddy connor: His eyes lit up.
"Let's hope you're the next leader then," he purred.
The grin of the younger warrior made him feel better. It's hard to get a genuine smile out of the clans nowadays.
"We could go for a leader who's more about the cats than their own clan. I think we'd all be better off sharing the gathering island once more, but Starclan knows that I'm chasing my own tail on that idea."
Hannah: Dapplefoot's grin widened at the Elder's comment. He'd love to be leader one day, he'd love to be able to lead his clan to a better future. Though, he didn't feel he'd ever be chosen to be a leader, though, it was nice to think about it. "I agree with you, Sheepbelly." he flicked an ear, "It seems like a long shot, but I don't think it'd wouldn't ever happen. The clans just need some time."
daddy connor: "Some time for what? Better leaders, better climates, better prey? I think we need time for everything, but there's no sense in waiting for unity. I miss being able to share tongues with the other elders, the other clans are much more populated than ours. I miss the sense of a crowd and being with others, it gets lonely when you come home from a gathering to an empty den with one nest," the elder rattled. "I don't feel like the clans should wait, I feel like we should stop hesitating and do what's best for the cats."
Hannah: Dapplefoot nodded at the Elder's wise words. "Y'know, you're right, we shouldn't wait. Besides, if the clans worked in unity, the problems would be much easier to overcome." he stood up, looking at Sheepbelly, "If only all the clans could hear your wise words," he purred, "I feel that they could really make a difference."
daddy connor: Sheepbelly snickered, looking down at his paws with a flustered expression.
"Is that why cats like to listen to my stories so often?", he mewed happily. The tom standing up made him question what the warrior's next move was.
"And if you're about to go hunting, you best be bringing back more mice."
Hannah: Dapplefoot nodded, "Apparently so!" The tom cat felt that Sheepbelly was probably one of the wisest Elders he'd ever known. He dipped his head and gave a light chuckle, "Of course, Sheepbelly, I'll catch every mouse I see!"
daddy connor: "Every single one, Dapplefoot!," he purred. "I need to get more meat on these bones, you know!" Flicking his tail, the elder smiled and purred gently.
Hannah: Dapplefoot stood up tall and proudly, puffing up his chest. "Yes, sir!" he replied, boldly with a grin on his face. "Every single mouse on Valleyclan territory!"
