There is so much I love about this.
The every day shirt, the fairy-like dress that makes me think our subject is still longing for fairy tales and make-believe, the fluttering ribbon, et.
I think however my favorite part is that you really can't tell if she is looking out the window or looking toward the camera, due to the lighting. Depending on which it is, it completely changes the feel and meaning of the piece. Is she looking outward, hopeful? Trapped? Or looking at us, maybe accusingly, or lost?
