It's just a badge, but it's like a gift you can give it to anyone you like, you can also give away to random deviants, or trade it for points. this is fun!
FAQ #02: If you give people llamas does it take away from yours?
No way! you may give as many llamas as you want, and you'll still have all of yours.

You can give only one llama per every person on dA. If you will give a llama to joeschmoe then you won't be able to give him more llamas o3o
