Same here as Apo. Please use regular ZIP compression. RAR is a PIA without a special download. I don't Own WinZip!

That was the recommended app when I googled. Used to have it installed as a trial.
OTOH, what's wrong with plain old zip files. Windows treats it as a compressed folder.

I always use rar to compress, since my PC came with a licensed copy of WinRar, and rar is a default format.

If you could use ZIP format that would make it easier for the rest of us that don't care to use RAR files or download other unknown (ie untrusted) applications to open them. Alternatively concatenate them all into a single text file and post that.

For the rest of you's? I'm sorry, Trance, but so far you are the only one complaining about it. I've been downloading loads of stuff from DA and all over the net, and 99% of it was in rar. Rar is a more secure and more evolved compression standard.

RAR might be a "more secure and more evolved compression standard.", but that doesn't mean RAR files aren't a pain in the ass if I need to do something special (DL unknown SW) to extract simple text files.
