Chris Colfer Prisma pencil (black, greys, blues only) drawing based on the Rolling Stone magazine shoot. A request, but I adore the actual photo, concept, and even the bar it was shot at. "Serious" seriously works for this boy.

How did you manage to get the texture on the pants and slightly on the shirt?

I drew in faint, and periodic, vertical (and some horizontal) lines down the shirt and pants, following the contour of what would be the body beneath to simulate the thread texture each of those fabrics would have, then shaded and highlighted on top of that. Hope this explanation helps.

I don't care what you say, as far as I'm concerned a prisma pencil is some sort of magical art device, because thare has to be an explaination for HOW FREAKING GOOD THIS IS!!!!!!

Other people daydream, maybe humming along to a song, reading a novel, or writing poetry. I daydream by scribbling, hence my technique. I daydream a lot.

Hmm, depends. I'm usually working on them in small windows of opportunity, but most are started and completed within a day or two, during which time I also sleep, eat, go to work, avoid work, and have a social life. This is starting to involve math. I hate math. Um, what was the question again? Oh, I'd guess two to six hours.
