Description
From beside the bowling lane, Hook examined the results of the last bowl. Eight bowling pins were down, but the two that remained stood at the back corners. The armadillo lizard glanced back at his brother, who still stood at the foul line.
"Seven-ten split, Loop. Bowler's worst nightmare."
"Ah, I can pick it up," the other lizard called back. "Just clear away the casualties."
Hook nodded, and began to remove the fallen pins, taking care not to disturb the two that still stood. Soon the lane was ready, and Hook raced down to where Loop was waiting.
"Ready, Hook?"
"My life's in your hands."
With those words, Hook curled up, clutching himself tightly in a ball shape. Loop picked his brother up, took his position at the foul line again, and bowled. Hook held his stance as he felt himself roll down the lane and bump one of the pins. Only when he came to a stop did he uncurl and stand up.
"Told you I could pick it up," Loop called out.
He was right. Hook had clipped the 10 pin, knocking it into the 7 pin and taking it down as well. Both armadillo lizards laughed as Hook began to set up the pins again.
"I bowl next," Hook remarked. "Let's see if I can top that massacre."
Loop just smiled. There was nothing like some friendly sport to reinforce the brotherly bond...
