All of these Disney/DreamWorks/etc. flappers are getting re-polishes for the new '20s. They will have a new blog on tumblr, as well as a new folder in this DA gallery, starting New Years of 2020. All of these old versions meanwhile are going to be dubbed "WIPS." Chrome out.

The wife of a prestigious Prohibition Agent Peter Proteus, Marina’s world is turned upside-down when she learns that her husband’s childhood friend is notorious rum runner Sam “Sinbad” Syracuse. Supposedly, Sinbad is acting as Mr. Proteus’s information to the criminal underworld, but Marina wants to be sure. So she does some investigating of her own…and ends up stumbling into an affair with the most dangerous gangster in town and her husband’s best friend.

While shipping alcohol with Sinbad's bootleggers, Marina tries to teach the gangsters a little bit about class. After all, Arnold Rothstein had created a new brand of organized crime where gangsters would have manners and run their crimminal enterprises like a business. If Marina decides to leave her husband and stick around with Sinbad and his gang, she could make these rum-runners pretty elegant.

Marina wasn't difficult to design for, since her canon look in the movie is already so modern. In fact, the Marina of "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" looks like she walked straight out of the 1920s, right down to her makekup style. All I really did here was change the cut of her clothes slightly, style her untamed hair, and add some extra acessories. Her look was 100% inspired by Jordan Baker from the 2013 adaptation of "The Great Gatsby." (If someone on You Tube wanted to do a movie splice-up to create an "animated 'Great Gatsby,'" they could use Marina as Jordan with no change to her look needed at all.)

I do not own Marina.
