"More cactus than creature"? It works!

I thought was a mobile cactus, myself!

I imagined it dropping off little cactus buds in the sand as it spun around when the wind blew while creating this. And then I made th blue one "more creature than cactus" right after this was done.

Sound right in every way involving Hylian monster biology.

Your leged of zelda work is really good. What program are you using?

The textures were done in CS5. The model itself was made using an old program trueSpace.

I see, is that down to preference? I would go as far to say your render would look even better in the Cycles engine.

I started doing 3D with truespace 2.5 back in 1998. I know how to use 3D Studio, but I'm not all that proficient with it. So I keep falling back to what I'm good at.

I took a look at Blender back in its early stages and wasn't all that impressed (as with most things in development). Maybe I should take a look at the software again.

Oh fair enough then. I suppose stick to what you know then as learning any new program is somewhat of a learning curve ha. Blender has definately improved over the years however.
