I've had many offers for it!! But it was my Nain's (Grandmothers) wedding cutlery box, so it's not going anywhere!!
I do sell other boxes with same design on etsy

Hehe, i can respect that. I've got a small wooden box I keep dice in my mom got from my grandmother when she was a little girl. I wouldn't give the thing away ever.

This came out spectacular, well done! What a timeless piece. Did you layout the image with pencil or something before hand?

Thanks again
What I tend to do with a complicated design like this one is; once I'm happy with my design, I photograph the design from my sketch book, then on my pc I create a mirror image of the design, resize it then print. Then I use a stick of charcoal to outline the basic lines of the design then put it face down on the wood that I want to burn, then I just run my hand over the back of the design and this is enough to transfer the design to the wood.

Oh, I see, that is excellent. It affords you a great deal of control with scaling and layout and stuff. Also, if you don't mind my asking, the burning technique you're using comes out so even and incredible, are you using something like a soldering iron. The warmth and richness of this style of work is delicious for my eyes!

Thank you.
This is the pyrography machine I use [link]
It is basically a hand held tool, but I have a lot more control of the heat setting. Also the pens have interchangeable tips, with many shapes and sizes to choose from, although I prefer to make my own wire tips.
Hope this helps

Fascinating. Thank you very much for the overview, I've bookmarked that page you linked so thanks for that. You put your pyrography machine to good use, I wasn't aware that such a device existed!
Keep up the great work!

Beautiful. Curvy lines are difficult to keep consistent and you've managed to keep an even burn all the way through. Nice one

I love when that happens, as in my case I generally have great ideas, but they never look quite as good when I draw them !! Fantastic
