Holy sheit this oc goes back to before I could legally join dA. And YES, hes a pony. Yes I had a pony phase for quite some years and this guy was my main pony oc. I recently dug up some old art of him so I wanted to redraw him and make a new ref. Dr. Cryptic in later years I started drawing him as a human instead so his pony form was left in the dust. Speaking of which his human form needs a new ref as well. That aside though, I really did love this oc and I would draw him all the time, he took up a fair portion of my posted art on my very first account. I feel I should bring him back and his human form cause why the hell not! Also the world he lives in is Equestria, but in the happening of a zombie apocalypse, so its sci-fi. We love zombo ponies lmfao.

- Dr Cryptic lives secluded from the majority of Equestria, living in a monstrous laboratory tower of his own making, allowing him to perform his gruesome experiments in peace and without peeking eyes and to keep him separated from the zombies plaguing the land. He captures and performs his work on any pony foolish enough to enter the woods his lab tower is located in. Most tend to be drawn in by curiosity of the strange looking tower. Or, its zombies themselves he takes in for testing on. His experiments consist of creating weapons, strange chemical substances, making living creatures, viruses and other diseases alike, including a zombie virus which hes rather proud of- although this zombie virus isnt the one plaguing Equestria, he didn’t have the honour of releasing that one.

- He lost his leg and one eye in an unstable chemical explosion when his first assistant accidentally shut a valve that soon built up such extreme pressure that it combusted. Dr. Cryptic noticed this pressure build but was too late to release the valve, so when it went off he was caught directly in the blast. His assistant and himself survived but it was Dr Cryptic who took the worst damage. Needless to say after he recovered from the injury, that assistant got a free ticket to become his next test subject. He now has another assistant named Wrench Hooves.

- Under his eye patch is a mechanical eye that can glow either; white, blue or red. Its like a camera and has the ability to adjust and zoom in to focus on things. It has a few other abilities such as tech scanning and holographic projection.

- His lab tower has its own AI named “AITA”. The name is an acronym for “Artificial Intelligence Tech Assistant”, in which she takes on the day to day system and security protocols among other things like Experimental data work. She also just likes to chat with Dr Cryptic when shes idle and bored. If anything shes truly a personality of her own.

- Dr Cryptic has a drone named Dexter, who is another assistant to him. Like AITA, Dexter is an AI, and has his own unique personality. He often flies around, following his master wherever he goes, or, is taking care of any business Dr Cryptic asks him to do. Dexter and AITA are like best AI friends, although this wasn’t Dr Cryptic’s intentions when he created them, they sort of just built their own friend relationship over time. Dexter is convinced that AITA has a crush on Dr Cryptic, although the Dr himself doesnt believe its something his AI is capable of. He disregards it anyway.

- Had created a pony purely though experiment, she was never born or conceived in a natural sense and was made through a series of chemicals and biotechnology. A lab pony in a sense. Although to do so he used the DNA from a bit of his own flesh as a base DNA to build off of. She is radioactive, as her glowing appearance isnt just for show. Having some of Dr Cryptic’s DNA, she in a sense is like a daughter of him. She was named “Toxic Flash” in respects to her glowing radioactivity. Unlike him though, she is a Pegasus rather than a unicorn. Toxic Flash was originally created to be a physical body for AITA, Although Toxic Flash seemingly developed her own personality before he could have AITA’s “mind” transferred into Toxic Flash.

- Has many military grade vehicles stored within his tower as well as classified militant weapons.
