Description
Blade: 360 layers of ladder patterned damascus that I was trying to do stuff with, but I kind of got sidetracked with the handle. Handle: 10 carats of emeralds. Green stabilized mammoth tooth. 500+ pieces of silver.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
And by that I mean. I am one of two people in America that can do this type of handle on knives. What, what! If you think this one is awesome, wait until you see my next ones! Mawahahahaha.

Beautiful blade!!! I especially love the damascus pattern in the blade. You have complimented it very well with the color and grain of the stone. Very well done.

His name is Zaza. His work is much more intricate than mine. Mainly because he uses smaller wires and so the look is a little more refined. I like boldness, so I probably won't be doing refined work for a little while. lol

I looked up his knives...and yikes, I'd never want to try something like that!
think I'll stick with my simple stuff... and leave the fancy things to the pros :3

If it makes you feel any better he doesn't make the blades or anything like that. He just does the handles. So he more of a handle maker than a knife maker. lol

Still, I prefer doing simple, utilitarian work... I'm sure I could do a handle like that if I wanted to spend a year on it....but I'm just not patient enough for that kind of stuff. I'm working on my first big knife right now (my first one not made out of a nail pretty much) and looking at your stuff and other knife-makers, is a mix of intimidating and awe-inspiring.

Now that's a decorative knife if I ever saw one. Seems like it should be used in some cult!
Nice job.

Very nice. I used to collect knives but finding unique pieces can present a challenge. Especially if most of your knife collecting is done through Ace Hardware. I don't know the whole body of your work, but just seeing a few examples I am thinking they shouldn't be used for skinning a deer. Just sayin'. Fantastic. Got any pig stickers?

I like this more ornamental style where you are going.
Do you know Andre Andresson from Sweden? He also make very jewelry like knifes. www.northlandknives.se/pages.aβ¦

Yeah, I know him. He does awesome work! I don't think I will ever go solely art knives. He spends a lot of time on his damascus. Later on I will start doing that too, but not yet. I still need to refine more of my skills before I go down that path. lol
