Emmalynn was in an abusive relationship with her ex husband, Jake. She noticed some things about him were off. He would leave for "work" early, and arrive late. Every time Emmalynn would try to ask, Jake would get abusive with her physically and emotionally. So Emmalynn would stay quiet.
One day when Emmalynn got home from running a couple of errands, she arrived home to see Jake making out with another girl on the couch. Emmalynn screamed and yelled  him asking who the girl was and why he did what he did. Jake just grabbed her by her hair and threw her outside in the rain and began to beat her. She cried while trying to get up, but Jake only pushed her down more.
Once Jake had enough, he started walking inside, but Emmalynn grunted saying, "You told me you were gonna stay forever, you lied. You didn't stay." Jake growled and turned around, kicking her one last time, and walked outside, leaving her in the rain.

Dating since her sophomore year (A year and a half since she's a 3 year grad), married for 5 months.
