My petals fade
And fall away
The more myself I show.

I am unable
To remain unstable,
Although I wish I could do so.

My passion and warmth
Gives away the desire
To war
With my surroundings,
My life
And my loves.

My clever calmness
Destroys my chances
To embrace
Those around me,
My friends,
And beauty.

Can the
Fires of my passion
And the
Ice of my rationale
Not destroy the gentle petals
Of my life's rose?

One of the pair
My life could sustain.
Both I cannot long endure.
I've lost another petal.
Will I ever find my cure?
