Longer than I want to admit too..
The render took over 60 hours on an AMD64 class machine with 4 gigs of RAM. The remaining time I have blanked out as a defensive mechanism.

60 hours render with 4 gigs or RAM?(what graphics card?)
hehe my swords and axes last 1 sec

It is my understanding that the graphics card is only important for displaying the models.

Keep in mind that there are well over 200 light sources in this image.
The lights place a very heavy burden on the raytrace engine. I would never be able to render something like this in the Firefly engine provided by Curious Labs.

If I turn off anti-aliasing and drop the light sources to a reasonable number, it only takes a few minutes to render the scene. The meshes and textures take up over 1.7 gigs of memory. The raytrace engine spends more time loading data that rendering in the quick test case.

Lot of textures, I see.. Hehe 200 light sources? My pc would collapse rendering it
