I crawl out of bed slowly, careful not to wake (y/n). I am eager to surprise her. And besides, the events of last night were quite enough to wear us both out. I smile at her, running my hand lightly over her cheek before I get dressed. Then I leave the room to prepare a pot of coffee, her favorite roast. She always said her two favorite things to wake up to in the morning were me and a steaming mug of coffee. When I return to the room, after preparing the coffee just as she likes, she is sitting up in bed, looking around. She looks slightly dazed, but absolutely beautiful. I give her my biggest smile and she blushes, her eyes shifting to my chest. I forgot to put on a shirt. I walk toward her slowly. I admit I like her reaction. I can see her swallow as she tries not to look at my waist, where my pants are slung low on my hips. I always knew I was attractive, but I never feel better than when she acts like she thinks so too. I sit on the edge of the bed, handing her a cup.
"Be careful," I warned, "it's hot." She nods, taking the mug carefully.
"You made me coffee?" she asks surprised. I grin a little sheepishly.
"You said it was one of your favorite things to wake up to," I explained.
She looks at me for a moment, getting a slightly glazed look in her eye. "I love you," she says suddenly. I'm taken slightly off guard, but I don't hesitate to reply.
"I love you too."
"You do?"
This really shouldn't be surprising to her. I must be doing something wrong. I take the mug out of her hands despite her small squeak of protest, and place it out of the way. Then I turn to her, taking her hands into my own and look straight into her gorgeous eyes.
She glances away, staring at her hands in mine.
"Thor?" she says uncertainly.
"Tell me what I can do so you won't doubt my love for you," I say gently.
She looks up, her eyes widening. Then she presses her lips to mine, the first time she has kissed me first. My hands slip from hers and land on her waist. Her hands press warmly against my chest and the rest of me feels cold compared to it. Then she pulls back, biting her lip.
"You just did," she says softly. And then I kiss her again, coffee forgotten, and we don't stop until it is long cold.
