Description
So I've done a few "Spock dies and Kirk is sad" things lately. Someone commented: "What is this, 'Spock Dies Week'?!?"And I reply: Well, you know, you're right. That isn't very fair. Ok then let's kill Kirk!
But seriously, folks. I'm a sap.
*sigh* Anyways...

The horror of it. Spock realizing what has happened, the one person in his life he could never replace. It's heartbreaking.

I wanted to hug him when he thought he killed Kirk. He looked so sad and it broke my heart.

It's a few lines from a roman poet named Gaius Valerius Catullus
He wrote in latin, and the poem is translated a few different ways here
This is my own translation.

I totally agree with you on that...A lot of literature is based on death,as far back as books have been written,or stories told around a campfire before that...I guess down deep.we all like a good tale and if some poor shmoe gets it in the neck, well,we don't mind that either...sigh...people are just drooling cavemen, way down deep I guess...lol

Another triumph,dear...Very lovely quote...It does seem to be "Die,Spock,Die" season, don't it? I guess I'm guilty too,but at least in my last one, they both die...lol

There's a romanticism, I think, to death. I mean, just look at Romeo and Juliet, which is so popular despite the fact that it is HORRIBLE.
