My design was inspired by iron man costume and TMNT comics. But I tried to make classic Leonardo design more real turtle look like. So I used some real turtle photo like references.

Very nice!Β  Iron Man comics of the 21st century strove to create a more believable look to the suits, so I suppose it makes sense that Mutant Turtles should follow the trend!
