Quiet? This meece is probably giving the cat concerto in the alleyway a run for it's money.

*snickers* I really love these images that are a play on words... Quiet as a mouse? Definitely not
a rodent you'd want in your roof-space!

Actually have one the cupboards at the moment... and while it doesn't play a guitar, it certainly isn't quiet

We have a couple in the roof-space; it sounds like an elephant
galloping across the rafters!

I'm not sure how to explain it to you cuz I'm not quite sure what exactly I wanna do yet. Your work has inspired me to start a project that i've been thinking about for a while.. It is basically about messing around with old sayings like you did, and try to illustrate it humorlessly.. It will be like a mini sires of 4-5 pices all painted traditionally with oil paints..
but I prefer asking your permission before I even start messing around with it..

What else can be said that hasn't in the last 300+ comments, the little axe-wielding mouse is fantastic.
But one not so little nit - Why is he singing into the TOP of the microphone? That's not a SM58, He should be aiming right at the little round "S" on the front...
Not a singer, just a Techie, and that matters a LOT. 55SH Instructions: <[link] > Buy him a 2" stem and a cast-iron desk stand, or hang that 55SH upside-down from a boom arm.
The Shure 55SH (and the newer Super 55) is a VERY directional polar cardioid to reject off-axis noise from the PA speaker stacks and stage monitors. Which is why it's been so popular since the original 55 Unidyne came out in 1939...

Thanks man! Great feedback! - Where were you when I was painting it?
I often do a little research, particularly on topics I know very little of, when I paint, but obviously not in this case.
Thanks for checking it the picture and taking the time with the technical info - appreciated.

Hang on, and I'll find you a reference for the little desk stands. Mine are round, but I've seen boomerang and Y shaped ones that won't crowd his footpaws on the stage. Ahh, here! <[link] > A Mini-Boom 12" to 17" high, and judging scale from the mike this little guy looks to be ~6" to ~8" tall.
Aim the mike end of the boom down, and let the mike hang upside down, wind the cable around the arm. The 55SH has a tilt hinge at the base, right above the On/Off switch.
Or put the mike sideways and the boom off screen to the mouse's right. The mike doesn't have an "Up" or care about anything other than the "front" axis the sound arrives from.
