The egg in your lap keeps bouncing around, and you, terribly excited, are sincerely disappointed every time the movement turns out a fluke. FINALLY a small crack appears at the top of the egg; after that the hatching process doesn't take long. Soon you are holding-- dear god, what IS that thing?

The first thing you notice is the tiny volcano atop the newborn girl's head and the charred look on the ears and hands. Its face is relatively clean however, and in fact it looks rather shiny. The star on its forehead has no foreseen purpose. Despite its mild smoke stench, its ugly little forehead blemish, and the surprising amount of snoring coming from the little creature, you decide that this baby will become a great addition to the family.
