As far as the grass, someone below suggested it may be too flat, which it is. You chose an interesting texture certainly which makes it look... very freshly cut or something, y'know? But just like they said, I'd just maybe some random blades around him or something to make him look like he's actually sitting in it and not on green asphalt.
I think that you conveyed the emotion of sadness and perhaps desperation quite well here. If someone were to give him a thought bubble, it'd look like he's thinking "What have I done...?" or "What's wrong with me?". It's very gripping for your audience to imagine to themselves what happened to make the character feel this way if they don't already know/understand the song you placed with it.

this is very detailed, i love the way you made the colors look in the moonlight and darkness. the grass looks a little weird though, i suggest roughing up the edges. the inside is fine, it just looks flat. Other than that everything is wonderful.
